OKAY THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING?

wait what, I actually live here? so it’s my second day here and I managed to find time to write about everything.I have to mention that I’m feeling much better than I did yesterday. It’s not easy, leaving home, my friends and parents and having to take a math test RIGHT THE NEXT DAY. Okay it was bad..like really bad.I was late, no surprise, my first day and I’m late.Entering the classroom, everyone looking at you while you’re saying how you’re sorry for being late. *silent awkward in the background I did some exercises, it wasn’t THAT BAD it could have been worse but hey. The english test was fine tho, we had to write an essay about technology so it was quite good. I met many great and amazing people.But, Mostar, y u so hot?! Like, I’m melting right now.Everything seems interesting and new, like there is more and more to discover and keep you interested. I think this place might become my second home. And I didn’t took many pictures because everything is going so fast, like go eat, go to school, we have this at this time, that at that time etc. So yeah, I’ll be writing again soon. :)

REFLECTING

alright so i didn't keep up with this blog but looking at the few posts of last year made me very emotional.

I realized how everything will pass. That said, we really don't need to worry about some exams because a year after, It won't matter at all.

It's the end of term 3, time passed by so quickly. 16 more days until winter break, yet I still feel like a firstie. Last year, this time, it was so different. If I could turn back time I would probably act differently in certain times. But, It's irrelevant to think about it now.

my point is; life will pass. there is so much more beyond colleges and good grades. there are life experiences and a whole journey to go through. don't stress about school because in the end it matters what you did out of your life and if you were happy. IB will pass.

probably the next time i'll post something here i will be graduating.

I had my anthropology exam yesterday, I was literally shaking while leaving the room and my roommate said : Lejla come on you're shaking like crazy ahahhaha. And then she started to motivate me. He gave us the 2014 November Paper, which I luckily went through, so I kind of knew what it was about. Still, I'm not happy with what I wrote but I know I couldn't do better. It was so hilarious in the class because we all knew we were screwed because we don't know anything. Just looking at faces and smiling through sadness and fear and understaning each other. What a sad and kind of cool feeling. So yeah I was really trying to sound smart and anthropological and wanted to include as many concepts as I could, but then I ended up repeating myself because I didn't know any new concepts. Now when I realize, it was stupid. I have no clue what to expect, but I'm done with it. We're getting a new teacher and she isn't even an IB teacher like wtf. Who is gonna prepare us for the final exam? Seriously, I'm disappointed. It sucks.

Okay so I know I didn't write a thing throughout the whole year, but I'm just gonna leave these thoughts here since my year one final exams started and I just want to look at this post in 3 years so I can remember these beautiful and trully relaxed times. (wuw such sarcasm) I had my english paper 2 this morning, and I don't know how to feel about it. It was my biggest fear since we didn't prepare for it in class at all. The only thing left for me was to google "eng lang and lit paper 2 last minute tips" and hope for the best. Indeed, there were some pretty useful videos and advices from IB students. However, the paper itself was okay. The thing is, you have 6 essay questions in front of you, and you have to choose one to analyse. It took me 10 minutes only to choose one question, and we had one hour and a half for the whole paper. There were some questions which I didn't even understand, so I was like"nah forget about them", so I did the last question. It turns out, I'm the only person who chose the last one, wow. Nevertheless, even though I wrote 4 and a half pages, I ran out of time to write everything I wanted. I got so scared that I checked how to spell "effective", srsly. Overall, I have no clue how I did the paper but I'm glad it's over. I have to prepare for anthropology which is also a subject that I fear of. I really don't know how to approach and answer the questions, I'll just hope for the best.

What’s up???

So I guess it’s legit to begin with an introduction. My name is Lejla and I’m 16 years old ( yes, I’m still 16 lol). I live in a small town named Bosanska Krupa, located in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is United World College in Mostar, one of 15 UWCs in the whole world. To be honest, I randomly applied to this school, having in my mind there is absolutely no chance I would get in. I was like:oh, there’s an application, okay, wow they’re calling me on a test, okay I won’t pass but who cares, omg I passed, I’m going on a interview, let’s see, and here I am now, only 10 days away of my lifeadventure. I decided to create a blog to share photos, videos and posts about life in UWCiM. What else do you need to know about me? Let’s see.I have a big obsession for dogs, superheroes, art, astronomy, I love to play basketball, listen to music, watch cartoons, RHCP are a big part of my life.Always open to meet new people and share my weirdness.
