Use the right colour and do more testing.

The students doing a fantastic job giving their final client presentations, it's amazing how far they've come since Week 1. This was followed by Jonas preparing them for the job market.
A small snapshot of the excellent work being produced by our UXDi students in the build-up to their final client presentations.
Here is the version 2.0 of Samantha user flow for prototype 2 and 3.
I am so excited to do more testing tomorrow..
Prototype v2
February 3, 2014
Home screen is always populated.
When you haven’t selected your interests, the content is constructed out of popular events.
From the usability tests, it became clear that the dialogue box (‘Make your home stream more personal […]’) was not understood as a link.
(See 2nd photo) After the user indicates his/her areas of interest, the home stream is populated with events filtered according to those interests.
From the user persona, it became clear that finding friends was an important navigational tool.
(See 3rd photo) ‘My List’ is hidden until the user selects it, or adds an event.
Prototype v1
January 31, 2014
'My List' is always open to encourage users to add events.
Search is included in main content, which is not conventional.
'Home Stream' vs. 'Personal Stream' is unclear.
Here is the version 1 of Samantha user flow. This user flow is for website prototype version 1.
Last week
We did 2 rounds of design studio method. ( This link will explain what is design studio method http://vimeo.com/37861987)
5 mins each to come up with 5-6 wireframes. 3 mins to explain why we did it.
In this blog, there is a user flow for Cleo ( Persona for blogger), Rough wireframe ideas for website and the final wireframe from Design studio session with Lina and Jess.
Priceless moment money can not buy.
Prototype V2: The evolution of data visualisation. Following our visit to the Guardian we looked at grouping relevant information into zones. Each zone contains within it the relevant data. Both brands and laZook can easily access and print relevant sheets. Next stage is usability testing.
Very informative talk by Anna Dahlstrom on responsive design @ga
Fantastic talk by Vinay Venkatraman.

The UXDi students presenting their initial ideas to their clients.
A busy week for the UXDi students, including an excellent presentation from Huge's Josh Payton, a trip to meet the Guardian's UX team, and a birthday!
Iterating of laZook information. Some card sorting and colour coding.
Our hypothesis is now split into task enabled view and data driven view. This will be out A and B testing for prototype 2.
