HAS FOR THE MOST PART LIVE RENT FREE IN MY HEAD FOR MY ENIRITY OF MY HIGH SCHOOL LIFE. These two got me thorough it during high school im not going to lie, i may not be here if it weren't for them.
Plus I've been seeing a lot of people art and head cannons for these cookies, so I thought I throw my towel into the ringer as well.
Its also a nice way to practice human anatomy and just human looking characters in general.

All right so the thought process. I mainly wanted him to be more laid back taking inspiration from the two characters that clover cookie is heavily compared to, those being Venti from genshin impact and snuffkin from Moomintroll. Though i always saw him more like kazhua, hell he speaks almost identical to him.
Design wise he's more closely resembles how some people draw snuffkin with animal features. And i just wanted an excuse to make him fuzzy. I don't know why but clover always gave off a warm and cozy feeling to me. like wrapped in a fuzzy warm blanket in December kind of vibe, so I translated that into fuzzy patches of fur.
Personality wise a mix of kazhuas way of life style and speech and personality in general, and a litte of Ventis out going ness, but a lot of his love for song and poetry (and unfortunately some of 2019 snuffkins as well, but at least hes got a bit of his sass so its ok).
I like to think clover is more of the reserved type but isn't afraid to show his love for music or poetry, bro definitely uses his music as a way of income performing on the side of the street to get a few coins, if it isn't music its definitely storytelling he's traveled all over almost and definitely has the trinkets and scars to prove it. Some stories might not all be exciting but how he tells them will make any cookie stop or passively listen.
Hes gentle, both with cookies and nature.
He's quick to help those when he can, and it will sometimes bite him in the back because of it. You can see now how this bum weaved his way into living rent free in my brain for the better part of four years.
The only reason I really stopped thinking about him and the other was because of, you guessed it!
Chat im not gonna even start with the current situation that's the dw team is in, and the fact it has got to the point of legal matters. Is a sign for me to stop.

Unfortunately I had pre ordered dyle back when he first dropped so... he's on the way. but that will be the one and only time I will give my money to this company.

Im so sorry for the delay, a lot is happening now that summer has rolled in so work will be holding me hostage for the most part, and some unfortunate things that will impact my family greatly. (I will not go into detail just personal stuff and I'll be ok don't worry guys!)

So, I was thinking of calling it Forgotten Film! You can read Riddleys little lore thing under his character sheet for as to why im calling it Forgotten Film, but tldr it involves the tapes. (If you guys can think of a better title for this comic I would love to hear so! Im not all that attached to the name so if you guys have a better name in mind please don't be shy!)

I have to confess something… if you asked me what type of ship dynamic between dyle and my oc would be, I would say Crack ship turned into serious doomed yaoi.
Crack ship what do you mean? Dyle wasn't the whole reason I shipped him with Harry or Harry's love for tinkering on clocks… Dyle inspired me to redo Harry yes! But not ship them (it definitely helped though).

It also sort of set up they're dynamic with one another, actively trying to piss off the other with snarky remarks and so on. Not the case anymore. Well. Not entirely, they still make snarky remarks but more towards other toons then towards the other.
I like to Imagen Dyle would still make a joke towards Harry in how he's often mistaken for a rabbit then a hare.
(thank god no offense im really trying not to just post dw content, and to broaden what I draw/make i still plan on doing dw content like my little au and stuff but its not what i want to always make ya know?)

I re did Riddley like I said I would. Similar to Harry had to pull yet another anatomy card to get his head right, still struggling. But its not art without its struggles, and like most struggles they can be overcome. It'll just take time.

Im going to try to get around designing the "side characters" it will take some time (there's like what? 39? 31 excluding mains and lethals) so I hope you guys stay long enough, so rodger may get the justice he deserves
ALRIGHT ENOUGH MUSHY STUFF IT LORE/AU TIMEEEE!!!!
Riddley Rouge: in the time of Gardenviews opening Riddley was created to handle guests that would come in through the front doors, providing entry tickets for parents and children alike. Riddley's front desk was also a sort of guest services, where parents could figure out when certain time events would occur/ where they were located, questions regarding possible deals,how/what they're made of. Or to find lost items!
Speaking of lost items! Riddley, at the end of the day and his breaks will go around finding items that were possible left by guest a long side Tisha for max item finding efficiency! Any items they would find will be put into the lost & found bin at his desk. Any merchandise items that had not been returned to its owner will be put back to be sold.
Riddleys was created to adapt depending on the situation or group, meaning he's able to make conversations with the most unlikely of toons, like the train conductor himself! Took a lot of effort to get Dyle to be willing to be friends with him, with his "I don't have the luxury for friends." Often pulling Dyle from his work to chat about something a guest said or did, listening to Dyle ramble on about trains and the occasional favorite movie, or the latest gossip!
And... It took just as long for Dyle to open up to him, and Riddley encouraging Dyle to speak up on whats troubling him to Arthur and Delhia.
Actions have consequence they both new that. But only one was punished
Now to why he got ["retired"]
Unfortunately, Riddley started to show small behaviors of hoarding, holding on to things he thinks neat or the occasional gift idea for his fellow toons, that's no big deal he's allowed to do that if he wishes, the problem was that the items he would keep most of them were from guests (and they weren'thappy about it). That's not to bad a few talks can fix that… What was though, was when he would pull Dyle from his work. Gardenview has an image to uphold and part of that image includes its trains arriving and departing on time. Its was ok, not great but ok if it happened once or twice. But multiple times within a week isn't and with Gardenview and the show getting more popular an image had to be up hold, so it was decided that Riddley Rouge would no longer be part of the working toons and be retired.
Now what does it mean to be retired? As Arthur puts it "its when a toon has done all they could do for this place and is going to go to a new place where they continue to do what they do best." Is what he say to guests (mostly children). In reality its where the toon in question is removed from any and all materials from merch to tapes, the worst part of the process is when it comes down to the other toons. Where they are made to forget the toon in question by the removal of some parts of their film.
In my au tapes are how toons are made say for Dyle and Dandy, Dandy being the first ever made and Dyle never having a part in the show, so they were made with pure ichor.
So removing/splicing part of the tapes film can cause a toon to forget, everyone forgets except for Dandy and Dyle whether its because they were the first to be created or a lesson to be made.
Now for the retired toon in question what happens to them, if you watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit or follow the myth of the machine you know what dip is. Its not dip its just acetone I say it as an example, for Riddley though the acetone was watered down a bit since there wasn't enough, and in a way was a saving grace he still melted a good amount, but still formed enough to make an escape. He spent most of his time in hiding (Dyle and ■■■■■ morned the death of their friend) only after he was in a better state did he try making contact with Dyle.
Que the water works and "I thought you died!" And "My death was greatly exaggerated." So after the closing he was able to reconnect with his old pals. Even setting up a little shop on Fridays with little trinkets he's found over his years of collecting for his fellow toons to stop by for a browse or the friendly chat!
I got a massive boost of motivation after seeing their design take on Dyle in their Soltice Hour au! Highly recommend you guys check them out and their comic au!
I had so much fun drawing him, I went little above and did shading, and uhh in the process added some extra stuff to his frame.
