As a child, I was convinced that the only parts of me that mattered in this world were my name and my skills. That the name Goemon Ishikawa was more important than the person it belonged to. All my life I believed that. I felt that any action I took in life, and any skills I developed had to be to honor my family’s name, and any mistakes I made were seen as failures.
But... then I met you.
