Photo credit the Infinitely Talented Raghu Rai. A true master of the craft, when I last heard him speak of his photography, I was struck by how much emotion and spirituality he imbued in his work. He spoke of his craft as worship and that struck me deeply. I sob every time I look at this image because that same worship is reflected in the inimitable MS Subbulakshmi’s face as she sings her Suprabhatam here. We are blessed to witness these enlightened beings, allowing us glimpses of Moksha here on Earth.

Just returned from the last Shangri-la. Bhutan has the most majestic landscapes, a unique culture held close to the heart and pure, unadulterated serenity... Why did I ever return?

More wonderful memories of Bali.... Maybe this means I need a vacation? :P I felt so at peace in this place - cradled in the bosom of Mother Nature in complete solace and surrender. That feeling is priceless.

Morning rituals. I love visiting gran because there's always some weird stuff happening at the breakfast table. Strange leaves being cleaned while we sip masala chai on the ancient swing, the checkerboard floor so hypnotising....

Mating insects. The beauty (and occasional grossness) of the natural world is always mesmerising to me. It is only when I am surrounded by nature that I feel the true urge to create using any tools available to me - an easel, a camera, movement.
