Can you imagine if your father and mother named all your siblings after Greek Gods and grand places and grandiose ideals and then when you are born they name you "Stinky Steve" because you smelled. Can you imagine being ridiculed for an aspect of yourself that you cannot change while everyone else is reminded of the glory they were promised and destined to achieve every time their name was called. Can you imagine being one of the most beautiful, shiniest, of them all, and yet everytime you are mentioned only the most unsavoury parts of you are called to peoples' minds. Can you imagine. All your friends were bestowed names that called upon images of grandiose, of beauty, of perfection, but your image only calls to mind the image of not you, but someone else entirely. Which oc storage site would you recommend me?

I would like to try a oc storage site since I've wanted to leave touyhouse for years and refsheet.net (i loved this one) is closing down. I would prefer it to be a site with no character limit (since I have over 100), that characters can be set as private and not a very big community since I'm shy about my ocs. I would prefer it to allow +18 content even if I don't exactly do that (but I'm more comfortable if it allows it). I don't mind customization.

My opinions about other oc storage sites for reference:

Charahub (shut down in 2019): I liked this one, and its character questions, but I did nto like the image and character limit.

Toyhou.se: Been in this one 2018 and it's still empty because I dislike its community so much it makes it unusable to me. Also, I don't like it being so customizable since it's overwhelming.

Worldanvil: This one was fun! But is more worldbuilding focused and I think you have to be premium or something to keep your worlds private.

Refsheet: My beloved. Customizable enough for picking your own colors and questions without being too overwhelming. Allows +18.

Sims 2 Default SC4 Terrain Previews

Tired of going to make your custom hood with one of the default terrains in Sims 2 only to find out you don’t even like it? I know I was but no matter what terms I put in google, I couldn’t find any good previews of the SC4 terrains. So I thought I’d provide for those who are currently making a hood or need to plan out their hood but can’t find the references for the terrain they used.

Previews under cut! All previews are with no extra hood deco (except for bridges in the hoods that use them) and with the lush terrain option. And might I suggest my deforested SC4Terrain Replacements so you don’t have to go through deleting all the trees as well ;)?

Alexandria's Genesis: The Truth and the Fallacy

Way back in 2011, a bit of Daria fan fiction I wrote sometime between 1998 and 1999 had taken on a life of its own in the years since leaving the fandom, resulting in its appearance on my Tumblr dashboard in mid-December of that year.

After the shock wore off, I had no option but to come out as the creator of the fictional posthuman/alien genetic construct Alexandria’s Genesis. Figuring that doing so on Tumblr wasn’t going to be enough to attempt – emphasis on “attempt” – to set the record straight, I turned to my own fashion blog to shed more light on this subject.

Since then, the post had become the most-read on my old blog, 33 avenue Miquelon; Miquelon is no longer my last name, by the way – it’s Aubernon now. Much to my disappointment, however, most who came to my blog through that post didn’t bother to go any further.

With 33 avenue Miquelon in the pages of history, I figured I would repost the most-read post of all time here on Tumblr as both a tribute and testament to its surprising success among both the violet-eyed truthers and the realists, and as a way to insure that AG will not take away from the new endeavour.

Read, share, laugh, love, but always remember: Alexandria’s Genesis is not, was not, and – barring the advent of posthumanity (hint-hint, my little violet-eyed truthers) – shall never be real, no matter what you choose to believe; you will always be wrong.
