My favourite cephalapod is the vampire squid, sometimes called the vampire squid from hell due to its scientific name, Vampyroteuthis infernalis. It's not vampiric, and the name was likely inspired by its cloak-like webbing. It looks like a little umbrella, in my opinion. It's also not a squid. It's more closely related to octopi than squid, but it's the last known surviving member of its order. Aren't they cute? I just love them!!
