i just woke up so naturally i had to ask more questions about the cast
How prone is the cast to nightmares? Are they heavily affected or are they more rare? When/if they do get a bad nightmare, how do they react?
AIKA- Aika has what I guess most people would consider nightmares but to her they're more like stress dreams or those really realistic "part of your day" dreams. So she'll be fighting a monster in her dreams and sometimes not realize none of it was real. She'll wake up and be like "yo that monster we fought last night was crazy right?" and Hoshi and her teammates are just like "???". As far as phobias go, I've mentioned she hates rollercoasters specifically.
ZIRA- Absolutely horrible nightmares. Just the worst. Straight out of a horror movie type shit (probably bc she watches horror and other fucked up things she probably shouldn't be watching at her age). She'll wake up kinda shook, but not too long after, will relax and forget about it. Zira's generally jumpy and gets easily scared by little things but doesn't have any actual phobias.
HOSHI- Hoshi doesn't sleep so they don't actually dream or have nightmares. They emulate sleep just because they've seen Aika do it and they find it relaxing but it's more like meditating rather than going into a REM cycle. They are scared of small spaces/are claustrophobic.
ECLIPSE- Has nightmares every once in a while but is more so a victim of sleep paralysis. He generally sleeps quite well so it's not super frequent or anything. I feel like he'd have thalassophobia. Very frightened by the vastness of the ocean with a huge fear of drowning especially since he can't swim super well.
DEVOID- Doesn't sleep that often but when she does she's in a VERY deep sleep which does leave her prone to long and vivid dreams and nightmares. Since she doesn't have most of her memories, a lot of her dreams also fall into the "pretty normal" category. She'll go through her typical day of bossing Eclipse around or working her 9-5. Her nightmares do tend to take her back to when she was living as an unconscious celestial body in the cold depths of space. The quiet and the cold serve as a horrible reminder for her. Ironically, nothingness and silence are some of her biggest fears.
MISS- Stress dreams only. Like the kind where her teeth are constantly falling out or the kind where she's late for something or missed a deadline. This has lead her to be paranoid which in turn leads to her having very poor and restless sleep. She'll usually wake up from these nightmares and not be able to go back to bed. So she ends up just staying awake no matter how early it is, going through all her work to make sure she didn't forget anything. A really unfortunate cycle.
