the thing about being bullied for being weird as a kid is that even if you've always embraced being weird your brain is still always looking for the line where it's too much. you can be as proudly and intentionally weird as you want and you can love being weird but your mind is still convinced there's a point where you get too weird and people start treating you like a weird looking bug again. also it feels like you reach that point 500 times a day even if everyone you've spoken to today found you pleasant and likable and even if you're completely alone in your house with nobody looking at you at all.

I saw someone discussing Deltarune earnestly, non-jokingly say that Spamton, a transmasc-coded character, parallels Kris and is miserable, while Pink, a transfem-coded character, parallels Kris and is happy. And that this is supposed to indicate that either Kris is canonically transfem or that they would be happier being feminine.
Which...seriously??? For anyone who hasn't played the game, Spamton is sad because he's homeless and mentally ill, not because he's a man. The idea that Toby Fox was trying to communicate that femininity is positive and masculinity is negative. Like come on.
I've seen a ton of people try to say that Kris is specifically transfem because some parts of the game kind of imply them to have been socialized as male, such as Mancountry (I do think that's a fine interpretation, but there's also evidence pointing to the opposite, like Aqua representing them as a child and using she/her) . Which first of all, you can be a non-binary person who was SIM and not be transfem. Obviously. And secondly, Kris is clearly okay with both masculine and feminine presentations (I personally headcanon them as transandrogynous), there is genuinely no part of the story that shows them transitioning towards femininity. This especially annoys me because Ralsei is actually very clearly transfem in canon, and there are many things coding Noelle as a trans girl as well, but no we just have to erase Kris's identity for some reasonj.
(This is about a fictional character, so obviously not as serious as when these types of ideas are applied to real people, but it still really bothered me because it was clear this was how the people discussing it viewed the world at large, so I thought I'd talk about it here. Also this ask was kind of longer than I thought it would be sorry).
This is transandrophobia and exorsexism.
Oh boy. So much to say here. People are so transandrophobic about Spamtons transmasc coding, and about transmascs in UTDR in general.
People who dislike Spamton as a character find the most transandrophic bullshit to say about him, and it makes me really angry. You're allowed to dislike a character, but mocking his height (which is just androsizeist in general, but has extra connotations towards transmascs who are stereotyped as short), mocking his homelessness, mocking his masculinity, mocking his speaking quirks...there's just a lot of (trans)androsizeism, (trans)androclassism, and (trans)androableism directed at him, and it's really fucked up.
The UTDR fandom is also not normal about transmasculinity in general. For example, the amount of people saying that Tenna "doesn't deserve to be with Mettaton," (which is rooted in ableism towards BPD but that's a whole other tangent) and joking about how Mettaton - a trans man - will just have to "keep dealing with his dysphoria/being lonely."
It's one thing to not give Tenna to Mettaton out of curiosity to see what happens with Tenna in Castletown, but its so fucking tasteless to mock Mettaton's depression over his identity.
There's also a looooot of butchphobia about Susie and pretty annoying feminization of her amongst the fandom. In general, masculinity is not respected by a lot of DR fans, especially when occurring amongst the minors.
And yeah, the attempt to push Kris into a transfem or transmasc role is exorsexist. Enben can be transfem or transmasc, but fandoms REFUSE to consider androgynous, abinary, multigender, multidirectional, and unlabeled identities, and even if they are transfem or transmasc, the CONSTANTLY arguing over which one they are when it ultimately DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER just goes to show people care WAY too much over the way enben present themselves.
(Side note 1: Please don't say "SIM." The intersex community doesn't want the terms socially imposed as male and socially imposed as female to be shortened, or else they'll start being thrown around and used as an "identity" the same way AFAB/AMAB have been bastardized.
Side note 2: I'm not sure why you say Pink is transfem "coded" - she's not coded, she just is transfem. In Undertale, you see Mad Mew Mew's entire transition, with pronouns changing and everything. It's not coding, it's just fact.)

Hey all, I finally decided to ask for help to save up for top surgery. I'm working on a lot of things, one of my bigger projects is to make 50 of these special little trans dragons that you will be able to get in a package alongside a sticker and a greeting card! All income goes towards my surgery. I'm also taking commissions but I'm very slow with everything, since my health is still not the best.
There is little chance to afford this surgery on my own, which is why I decided to make a fundraiser, I've seen other people doing this as well, and it wouldn't hurt to try it myself! I explained my situation in more detail in a document, you can find it in the description of the fundraiser.
Right now I just wanted to get this out there, I'm not asking you to share this post or anything! I'll make a proper announcement post once I have more items for sale, so that people can choose to support me through sales rather than "just" donating, although the latter helps tremendiously, of course.
