Ardyn was not one for mornings. He was definitely a creature to sleep in until well past the sun’s rising, but for some reason today was the day he chose to wake up and go ‘see the world’ as it were. He wasn’t paying much attention to his surroundings, his mind only on ‘coffee’ and ‘caffeine’; so when he came across a place that had a suitable hot beverage he actually paid for it before he left.
He didn’t care about the skirmish. It was none of his concern – at least, until someone made it so. His hat went flying and his drink was ruined as he stumbled back, a little off kilter.
He took the hat back and was willing to forget the coffee when the stranger offered to buy him a new one. “It’s hardly your fault, I suppose. I wasn’t watching what was happening. But I’ll never turn down a free beverage.”
“ .. I’m unsure whether or not to be impressed or concerned you could ignore a robbery and almost hostage situation given the severity but we’ll call it an acquired skill for now.. still, I do still feel bad that your drink was spilled on my own firin’ back. “ Morgan continued to stare at the man before him, still curious how he managed to completely ignore both the shouting and the gunfire all at once, rummaging through his pockets for some change to buy the man a drink. Cleaning up the mess made a bit, he’d turn back to him, tossing the few coins in his hand idly.
“ So, what exactly is it you ordered? Unless you wouldn’t mind if I picked something out random for you but.. this is your drink so I’d at least like to know. “ The look on Morgan’s face, although still relaxed, still carried just a bit of curiosity over the man’s incredibly calm demeanor over what had transpired. Did he just not care, or was he simply not paying attention THAT much? There was a seriously inquisitive look on Morgan’s face that could easily be read.
