I’ll try to make a complete list of all the things you might need, I hope this helps you. Ofc if you need more specific info just let me know ♡

● general tips;

For the first few months I watched a lot of tutorials (i’ll link them later), both on youtube and on tumblr and they were really useful. So, while watching videos I tried to make stuff for myself, here and there, trying to replicate aspects of graphics I saw around that I presonally liked. While making a graphic I often needed to do something specific, I simply looked for it on youtube. With time I learned how to use more and more tools on photoshop and soon I could do more things by myself. The main point of it is trying, experimenting, making and remaking.

Looking around myself also helps, here on tumblr, on other websites, magazines or when I walk down the street, I try to find inspiration from everything, this way I have many different styles and ideas coming together and I take from the the things I like, trying to convey them in what I think is more “my style”.

Take your time. every works takes his time to be made and it’s wrong to force yourself to finish it in a certain amount of time, because this way you won’t give yourself enough time to experiment, try more textures until you find the right one or find the perfect coloring for the gif etc. I did this at the beginnings, I thought that I had to post stuff asap and it was taking a toll on me and my creativity was ruined many times because of it, resulting in me hating the final work.

● Sizes ;

   ▸ 540 x 540 px (if the text is not that important and the main focus are the photos)    ▸ 1080 x 1080 px (for higher quality, this way the text is readable, even if small)    ▸ 540 x 743 px (usually used for sets of 4-panels graphics)    ▸ 1080 x 1526 px (higher quality for 4-panels graphics)

● tutorials;

   ✧ youtube          ▸ phlearn          ▸ photoshop tutorials    ✧ tumblr          ▸ itsphotoshop          ▸ chaotic resources    note: on youtube you can honestly find anything you need, just type what you need to learn    and you’ll definitely find a tutorial for it! Also, some content makers, here on tumblr,    sometimes do explain how they create their works posting tutorials too.

● material;

   ✧ brushes          ▸ deviantart          ▸ brusheezy    ✧ fonts          ▸ dafont          ▸ fontsquirrel          ▸ behance    ✧ png content          ▸ deviantart    note: often if i need something specific I google it first to see if i can find it in any website    available. Otherwise if I’m in the mood to look for some new material I look on the sites i    linked above

hello everybody! i hope you’re all having a wonderful holiday (if you celebrate), and a restful break thus far!  i was debating whether i should make a follow forever or not, but i actually hit 300 followers on christmas eve! so thank you for everyone who are following me, appreciating my half-decent works, interacting with me, and especially those who used to follow my previous blog. throughout this year, i’ve met such incredible people from this website. i started photoshop, and was taught how to make gifs by said friends i made on this very website, so, truly, i owe it all to a lot of people here! this is my (extremely small) token of appreciation to all of the talented, wonderful blogs i follow, and look up to. apologies if i missed some, i have 2 brain cells (also sorry if this messed up ur notifs) !!!
