Funny Fact about the Sega Twins' designs.

Let me share a small inside joke about the Sega Twins from the Sega Hard Girls and Neptunia franchises that artists KEI and Tsunako decided to make when they created them.

Yeah, pretty strong resemblance, isn't it?

Unlike the Sega Twins, Kyon and Aqua actually did meet in a small promotional crossover.

Realistically, Segamori and Segami would have met in Superdimension Neptune vs. Sega Hard Girls if the Neptunia team had decided to have the characters face their actual counterparts, since Segamori was already a Sega personification on the Sega Hard Girls side, while Segami was created by the Neptunia team.

(Sidenote: However, it should be noted that Segami is owned by Sega and falls under the Sega Hard Girls license, for any Neptunia fans wondering why she hasn't reappeared since.)

Also, speaking of the Sega Twins, let's talk about their nicknames (Segamori & Segami), as both names are portmanteaus.

Here is the meaning behind their names:

Given Names:

Segamori is a portmanteau of the words "Sega" and "Mamori," which means "protect" or "guard" in Japanese. Combined, they mean "Guardian of Sega."

Meanwhile, Segami is a portmanteau of the words "Sega" and "Megami," which means "goddess" in Japanese. Combined, they mean "Goddess of Sega."

Sega + Mamori (Guard) = Guardian of Sega

Sega + Megami (Goddess) = Goddess of Sega

Small reminder: Segamori is considered the older twin not only because he came first in Sega Hard Girls history, but also because Segami was based on him.

They Look Like Family (GoBul)

Talking about GT Gobul.

Context: I talking about Dragon Ball GT: Episode 35

I loved this scene because it showed how deep-rooted the relationship between Goku and Bulma is, so seeing Goku hurt by Bulma can't recognize him because she's possess while also telling him off hurts the heart.

Also, hearing Goku say he would never forgive Baby for doing this shows how personal this is to him, especially with his glance toward Baby. You can see how much he cares for Bulma.

Also, it is a nice contrast to most Gobul scenes of caring because it is mainly from Bulma's perspective of her thinking, concern, or reaction to Goku (from OG-Z), so when the vice versa happens, it feels so satisfying.

Sometimes, I wonder why Gobul didn't happen.

Shipping Struggles for Lunter, Shadaria, and Chasriel Fans.

I'm just making fun of something I noticed recently online about these ships of this weird behavior in fandoms.

Do you ever get that feeling when watching anime that you question why a specific pairing didn't happen?

I find it interesting that allegedly creative leads (like the anime series directors or editors) of each series had plans for these pairings at one point but ultimately were scrapped.

For Dragon Ball Context: Akira Toriyama's editor had planned and shipped Goku and Bulma, but the idea never happened and shut down. (It is mentioned on a page in Dr. Slump Manga in an Author Note for curious people interested in the source.)

However, remnants of this idea remain in the original Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z anime, primarily in the Funimation Dub for scenes of Bulma seeing Goku more favorably. Sometimes, the idea appears as a quick gag or background element.

The 23rd World Tournament, Namek Arc, and Post Buu Party are the most apparent of GoBul teasing.

For Sailor Moon Context: Allegedly, Kunihiko Ikuhara is rumored behind most of the Rei/Usagi pairing teases.

Also, just because I ship GoBul and ReiUsa doesn't mean I hate or attack GoChi, VegeBul, or UsaMamo(Anime). This portion of the comment refers more to Dragon Ball fandom than Sailor Moon (based on my experiences) because I have noticed a weird Vendetta surrounding GoBul on online forums over the past few years, to the point of flat-out harassment.

Dragon Ball Headcanon: ChiChi's Family.

Okay, I will explain a dumb but interesting headcanon of mine. I think ChiChi, Annin, and Yurin are all related.

I think that Chichi's mother is Annin even though she technically should be deceased (I will explain this later in this post), and Yurin is Chichi's younger cousin from Annin because of the spelling of the name suffix.

The only evidence that supports that Annin and Yurin are related to ChiChi is their similar structured face and personalities of kind/manner but a strong-minded individual with a bit of temper.

There is little more evidence for Annin being Chichi's mother besides the strange coincidence of Annin's introduction shortly after the acknowledgment of Chichi's mother, which is the family portrait portrayal of her size.

We need to acknowledge that the Ox King and ChiChi's mother had to reproduce to create Chichi, but within the family portrait, she is merely a fraction of his size, which creates a bit of a dilemma. However, considering that Annin can shapeshift her size can explain this problem. Another evidence of Annin as Chichi's mother is the detail of Annin's magical furnace near Ox's King Mountain, which could have explained how they had met.

However, the problem with Annin being ChiChi's mother's theory is that Chichi's mother died from an illness, which doesn't apply to Annin because she is seemingly alive.

Granted, Annin is the equivalent of Hades, the god of the underground, and we know that people can get back their lives or keep their bodies under specific circumstances from Otherworld.

The rules of the Otherworld state that maintaining one own body after death is being a fighter, added with acknowledgment that Annin has experience in Swordsmanship skills under Martial Arts can support her as Chichi's mother.

As for evidence that Yurin is related to Chichi's Mother and Chichi herself, all wear similar clothing, which looks reminiscent of traditional Chinese outfits. (A strange detail).

Anyways:

I mainly became inspired by this post from a Twitter tweet referring to Goku, Bulma, and Vegeta all having secret siblings across the series randomly introduced and almost immediately never getting acknowledged again or lightly referenced. (Ex: Raditz, Tights, and Tables) I thought it would be interesting if ChiChi were in a similar boat, so I searched for characters in the already existing Dragon Ball media for strong candidates for possible family members for ChiChi, thus giving me Yurin and Annin.
