So happy to see you back. You were missed sweetie, and I hope everything is good for ya. <3
Heck yeah! It’s great to be back <3
✖ - a repressed memory
✖ - warning: graphic content after the cut. cyril grew up in a brothel so lmao this’ll be interesting. making me write terribly dark shit, smfh.
thanks @blairmoongazer for this great character development opportunity (-;
The low burning candles and thick, blood red curtains covering the windows held the illusion over the brothel of perpetual nighttime. Never yet stepping foot into the crisp Gilnean air, a young Cyril had yet to noticed the thick humidity of sweaty body odor which peeled the wallpaper. There were always hoots and hollers, screams and giggles echoing down the halls.
He was handed a silver platter by the matron, a skeletal and withered woman, who’s face never changed in expression. Her long, bony fingers delicately placed a vial on the tray as Cyril held it flat for her. He was used to this task. As soon as he’d learned to walk, he learned to deliver. The boy walked down the long hall of rooms, his nine-year-old posture impressively poised as he carried the tray.
He knocked on the door, surprised to hear no commotion on the other side. Often times, his knocks interrupted giggling and a lady of the house would answer, dressed in loose, lightly colored silk robes. She’d thank him with a strange, playful look in her eyes and disappear back behind the door. He listened closer, pressing his ear to the door and heard quaint crying over the creaking of furniture.
Cyril instantly recognized the woman from her cries. Mum. The young boy knew he was never to open a door and interrupt a Lady of the House–he’d been repeatedly scolded. Avoiding conflict, he gently put the silver tray down at his feet and moved to look through the keyhole. Rather tall for his age–as all the ladies of the house would slyly call him, with that same playful look in their eyes he didn’t understand–he only had to stand slightly only his toes.

For science: How would your character react to a dog whistle? Human or worgen form. - @drunkenworgen
I love this question! Human form, it would get his attention. If he’s heard it before, enough to notice/know he’s the only one to hear it. He’d straighten up and look around, on edge or otherwise, if he has a specific association to the sound, such as someone he already knows using it to get his attention. While in his Worgen form--usually only during an intense fight--I think it would be a quick way to bring him to a halt, as he tends to go berserk. A dog whistle could stop him in his tracks and quickly “sober” him up.
don’t know how old this ask is, but thanks, @drunkenworgen !!! Great question to help me get back into the feel of Johnas (-:
