Alien robot meet alien rock
This is the first thing I thought of after getting out of the cinema
Orion + bow <3
An apprentice garment shouldn't be touched carelessly because it's a symbol of devotion to the Prime. Thus, to let others touch it is to say "I'm devoted to you too"
Orion doesn't know and D won't stop him
the saigans seem so lovely! what are the most common scale/hair colors among them?
Light colors, mostly whites and off whites with black hair! ^^ The Saigans are also the only Varanar ethnicity that can display a pearlescent/mother of pearl effect on their scales.
There are lot of thunderstorms in Saigan territory, and one of their customs is to cut and sand their horns so they can wear fake antler-like racks made out of fulgurite their collect from the wilderness.
It's a common tradition to pass fulgurite racks from generation to generation, from parent to child. Also common for husbands to collect fulgurite pieces and add to their wives bridal racks.

You think the spirits of the humans who died in the final battle in Avatar 1 haunt the forests of Pandora? Especially in the area where Quaritch and Jake fought?
During the day the sunshine, the songs of the birds and animals fill the air, but there is always a bit of a chill in the area. You are warn to never go there but of course sometimes you brave it.
As the darkness descends and it reaches the late night the world goes quite and no Na'vi would walk that land. If you go there....you might catch a glimpse of something from the corner of your eye. Don't turn too fast to look because it will disappear. But if you slowly look towards it you will see a spectre with three bright scars on the right side of it's head. The air goes cold. It's too quite. And you hope it doesn't see you.
So I see some folks disappointed that the recoms were killed off so quickly since the concept is both extremely interesting (albeit extremely fucked) but I'll like to expand on some of my thoughts.
Do y'all think the RDA would bring the recoms back? They failed their mission not once, but twice. The first time as humans... But they saw them as a worthy enough investment to suck out their memories from their heads and copy/store it for the purpose of growing an avatar in case of the event of their death. Would they do this again?? Would it be worth it to a corporation like them?
Another thing, nothing in canon seems to indicate that they can't just keep bringing the recoms back again and again. They have their memories. Who's to say they can't just do another 6 years of lab growth and boom, put them back on?
And yet another thought: I wonder if each time they come back, they come back a little less like themselves?? The memories in storage degrading, each time it's copied and put into the avatar body, things are forgotten or rearranged. Either intentionally or unintentionally. And they come back just a little bit more unhinged
Lopez: Whenever you want to insult somebody, just call them a fruit or vegetable in Spanish. It's the fuckin funniest thing ever.
Prager: *begins to laugh*
Lopez: cause you'll be like, look at this fucking Tomate
Prager: *laughs harder*
Lopez: just say it like 'this fucking naranja ever here'
Ja: Pinche Naranja Miralo
Lopez: fucking, pepino ass bitch
Prager: *still laughing*
Ja: look how this pepino dressed today, dwag. What kind of fucking shoes are those aguacate, cabron
Lopez: it sounds good when you say it with the right inflection

Paz lives modern au part 4
part 1 part 2 part 3
The Quaritch-Socorro household has money. They are firmly upper middle class. You wouldn’t know it though from how the family looks and acts.
They are cheap asses. Not like extreme cheapskate levels of penny pinching but if they can save a buck they will.
Clothes from Goodwill with a few holes that Paz can easily patch up? Hell yeah she got three bags of “new” clothes for her family for $7!
Miles is taking his family for a “fancy” night out? They’re going to the all you can eat Chinese buffet in the Walmart strip mall. Adults eat for $10, kids $6.
If you think Paz is disappointed that this is what her husband considers fancy then think again. For her this is the lap of luxury
They don’t leave until everyone’s had at least three plates because the kids grow like weeds and “mama and papa are getting our money’s worth”
Miles goes hunting with his squad mates and loads up their deep freezer with deer meat.
Paz gardens not as a hobby but because growing food yourself is cheaper than buying it.
I just wanna cry...
@recom-week Hey, guys! I am the author of fan fiction Eyktan Tsaheylu If I may, I would like to participate in the recom week. This illustration was created to order by the artist AnXis especially for my fan fiction.
Miles Quaritch and Laura Asadi (my Original Character).
I’m not done with any of my drabbles yet so here’s a cute headcannon and a wholesome idea that had been marinating in my brain.
Ok HEAR ME OUT
What if Quaritch comes from a line of failed artists?
Like, people in his family have historically been very artistic but bc of capitalism and other modern issues none of them ever succeed in art. Miles himself used to be a painter in high-school but ultimately gave up on that dream because it made no money/it was too hard to compete with AI or smth idk.
So anyway, Miles dies, his clone is born, he captured Spider, they spend weeks together, blah blah blah, they visit Bridgehead regularly to report on their mission progress and are staying in a special, recom sized dormitory building. The walls are so plain it drives Spider insane because he is not used to such lack of visual stimulation and he BEGS Quaritch to get him paints so he could make at least one room into something pretty. The colonel considers this and decides to give his son something to do because at least then he won’t be getting on everyone’s nerves.
He gets the paints and Spider starts working on a wall in the main corridor. Turns out he’s an artist himself, has a good feeling for color and it was definitely not his first project. Quaritch tries to play it cool but watches closely and eventually begins nagging the kid with unsolicited advice.
“If you’re so goddamn smart why don’t you do it yourself? Hm?” He snaps towards Miles and pushes him closer to the wall.
Miles takes a look at what Spider did so far.
He looks at buckets of different paints, it’s been decades since he saw these in person. Some sort of switch deep within him turns and he snaps.
He picks green, puts his big wrist into the bucket and leaves a trace on the white surface with his hand, then picks another color and does the same thing, an idea forming in his head and Spider watches in shock and then excitement as his bio father’s artistic side shows itself. He ditches the brushes and stains the walls in color, following recom’s fashion.
The two run around the corridor like maniacs, possessed by a muse so strong the rest of the world faded to the background as they laughed like children, drawing bright shapes, leaving handprints or straight up splashing the paint onto the wall until it looked like a beautiful, wild fever dream.
The two stepped back, still chuckling, looking at their work.
“Awesome..” Spider whispered and raised his palm for a high five.
Quaritch gave it to him, smiling widely for the first time in years. He’d never admit that he had fun giggling like a middle-schooler for the past hour.
He’d love to do it again though. With Spider.
