Byers-Hopper-Prasad Siblings Headcannons bc fuck the duffers
-Will and Jane got called twins in Lenora and it stuck, Jonathan sometimes refers to them as âthe twinsâ when they get into trouble
-Kali and Jonathan bond by sitting in complete silence listening to music nobody else enjoys while doing separate silent tasks
-When Jonathan drives Will has shotgun and Jane sits in the back leaning on the center console; When Will drives Jane sits shotgun and Jonathan stretches out in the backseat without a seatbelt on; when Jane drives Jonathan gets shotgun and spends the whole time trying to make sure they don't crash while Will holds on for dear life in the back seat
-Jane tells Kali her favorite color is purple because of her old hair and Kali immediately demands they go to the drugstore to buy hair dye so she can dye her hair again
-The four end up going (its their first time hanging out even though they all wind up in the same house post finale) and they have to drive an hour to the next town, end up buying a ton of hair dye as well as makeup to try. On the way back a cop tries to pull Jonathan over for speeding and Kaliâs instincts kick in to tell him to drive faster (they also donât want to have the cop recognize Jane on the off-chance heâs seen her missing poster) they end up in a car chase with this cop before escaping and its truly a bonding moment until Hopper finds out and tries to ground all of them
-The hair dye and makeup spiral into Kali teaching Will a lot about goth and punk subculture and Will having a (hesitant) interest in makeup because he likes painting so much
-Jane calls Hopper âHopâ or âDadâ and she calls Joyce âMomâ exclusively. Will calls Hopper âHopâ but heâll pull out the âDadâ if he wants something. Jonathan sticks to Hopper exclusively but did call him âJimâ once as a joke. Kali calls Hopper âpolicemanâ and Joyce âMrs. Byersâ

-Jonathan is the only one in the house who will sit through Janeâs choice in tv and will watch Miami Vice with her, Hopper and Joyce sometimes

-Kali asks Will for paint so she can cover her 008 tattoo. Will ends up painting a blue butterfly (like the one she shows Jane in s2) on her arm, later she gets it permanently tattooed here, Jane gets a matching one as well
-In an attempt to bond with Will, Kali just asks⊠âSo when did you know you were gay?â And he nearly spits out his drink. She then quickly backpedals with âI only figured it out when I turned seventeenâŠ..that I wasâŠ.differentâ and it turns into a really nice if awkward conversation
-Kali tells Jonathan sheâs queer by asking if she can date his ex-girlfriend
-Jane dosen't figure out Kali is queer until she witnesses Kali and Nancy kiss and realizes something
-Jane and Kali eventually go back to Chicago and make a memorial for Kalisâ friends, they accidentally start a movement symbolized by a blue butterfly, it comes to be known as a signal for places safe for displaced children and minorities
-When Will starts real dating in college Jonathan buys him a sexual health manual that includes information for same-sex couples, Will has no idea how he got it and was so embarrassed for weeks after
-Jane and Will do have an ongoing competition to see who can flirt with Max the hardest, it usually ends with all three of them rolling on the floor and laughing
-Will lets Jane paint his toenails because he likes it even if he doesnât always feel safe enough to wear it on his fingernails in town
-Will dates guys that are similar to Mike, Jane dates guys (and a few girls) that are nothing like him
-Kali, who has no interest in school or a real job, ends up helping Jonathan make movies with her illusion powers and her perspective gives the writing of the movies empowering, realistic narratives, while their backgrounds are different, they have similar ideals and can work well together creatively
-Jane will beg Jonathan for piggyback rides at the ripe age of 23 she doesnât care if she doesnât want to walk sheâs not going to
