What do you MEAN Geralt is just out here HORKING DOWN chunks of RAW MEAT.
WHY IS HE NOT COOKING IT.
Real canon colourized art of Geralt healing up after a fight:
Scanned this, a little book Geralt drawing on my sketchbook (I literally just opened the book)
they never filmed a scene with Yennefer and Jaskier at the same ball because they'd just be doing this the whole time
i love yenskier
ADHD pro tip: Use psychological warfare on yourself.
For example, in order to do long tasks, like folding laundry, I put on the Mario Hat:
The main feature of the Mario hat is that my headset does not fit over it, so when The Bees™ try to put me back in front of the screen, the headset issue forces me to remember why I put the Mario hat on, and back to the task I go
As a bonus, the Mario hat is also a very clear indicator to my housemates that business is getting done, and they have learned not to distract me when I'm wearing the "goofy-ass cosplay hat"
It's not stupid if it works.
Surely the tall, battle hardened, scarred, hairy, rude, vulgar, disheveled, but loyal and ferocious knight I have sworn in as my maiden daughter’s personal guard would not dare to look upon her fairness and her his roguish ways and dare to defy the marriage arrangement I have put in place for her.
Alas! My maiden daughter!
let's fight monsters with mama!
(image description: Geralt and Ciri from The Witcher; Geralt carrying Ciri across a murky pond at night, glaring at the various toothy critters surrounding them, while Ciri waves her knives angrily and ineffectively.)
Another (Very angsty) screencap redraw.
Also thoughts on the textured brushed/watercolour texture on the bg because I can't decide if I like it or not
(Sketch below the cut)
drawing people i see in the city (47/?) lil dude also had the best conversation opener:

i feel strongly about this
It makes me happy when they listen
YES. YES YES YES THANK YOU
The way people's eyes light up when they talk about things they love. You agree.

Geralt gets almost every thing he's ever wanted, but only after being so beaten down he stops thinking he has any right to it.
He wanted be the best knight and save people.
He's put through a second round of grasses. He's the strongest now. Was it worth it?
He believed in chivalry, he wanted to be a knight, he wanted people to respect and appreciate him.
Only after Blaviken breaks his heart, destroys his self-worth and ruins his reputation does he meet Dandelion/Jaskier, who is able to convince the Continent to give him the admiration he used to crave.
He wanted a child. In the books, he tried to collect Ciri from her grandmother, but was denigrated and demeaned into admitting he wasn't fit to raise her. It is only after he gives up that circumstances align to bring Ciri to him -- in the worst and most traumatic way possible, too.
If I recall correctly, Yennefer calls him out in the books for dreaming of a soft, gentle life with her, a retirement from witchering. Such a thing is not on the cards for the likes of them. But he gets that retirement eventually, a vineland in sunny Toussaint, a quiet old age.
That's what I think about when I think about his romantic life. The two most popular Geralt ships are with Yen and Jaskier, BOTH of which are meet-uglies. This man WILL find happiness in life, but not before being dragged through pits of suffering first. 😭
hey random ass post but in the tags can you tell me what’s your number one safe food. like not necessarily your favorite food, but just thee most quintessential “ol’ reliable” that you can always manage to eat no matter how bad your sensory issues or mental illness is acting up.
mine is microwave popcorn (and bonus points for a chocolate milk to go with it)
some general hanza sketches but primarily a lot of of angoulême, and thinking about some of her dynamics with the rest of the group :,)
