Drawing by me, words by my beloved đ
My entry for Clip Studio Paint 46th international illustration contest!
Grandma never meet such big kitty before, and is very content of such a meeting.
Are you able to find all the cats? Try to count them before you swipe for close ups and let me know in the comment how much you was able to find!
A little story: This is a milestone when comes to my art. If you're familiar with my artistic output you very much know that all of my works - I don't even count isolated exceptations over the course of more than decade - are depiction of individual animals, occassionally pairs or groups, with or without decorative elements.
No scenes - interior or exterior - no environments at all. No history behind the artwork other than history that pet owners has in their hearts related to their relationship with the beloved pet.
As long as it's nothing wrong with that and I really enjoy drawing pets as well as I'm honored when a owner came to me to make a memorable artwork of their deceased pet, I really wanted to do something more for a very long time. I wanted to tell a story, and I wanted to make a personal art. Because believe it or not, I'm not making personal art for a couple of years already and it's just insane.
So here's one.
The ghosty cat is drawn in memory of my beloved Mr. Cat, who passed away back in 2022.
Tim getting questioned by his school for having bruises (canon) + Tim wearing makeup to cover his bruises (canon) + tim being very popular in the schools he went to (canon) = Tim accidentally starting a boys wearing makeup too trend at his school during peak 90âs/early 00âs (not canon but plausible and will piss off Chuck Dixon so itâs real to me đââïž)
teacher: thereâs only one reason a boy your age would be wearing makeup-
Tim: are you calling me queer?
teacher: thatâs absolutely not what I was-
Tim: whatâs wrong with being queer?
classmate: oh my god, theyâre being homophobic to Tim Drake

hereâs to camilla hect, another one of devotionâs casualties.
I believe today, June 26th, is the day that the NĂrnaeth ended, when Fingon was killed and the defeat of the Noldor and their allies was cemented. Huor fell pierced with a venomed arrow to his eye and the men of Hador were slaughtered in the fens of Serech after defending Turgonâs retreat. HĂșrin was captured after his dramatic final stand.
The descriptions of this in The Silmarillion and The Children of HĂșrin especially to me are so vivid and strangely beautiful; the swords like a forest, the sons of FĂ«anor scattered like leaves in the wind, the sun setting upon the blood soaked rivulets of Serech and the strong winds building.
The line about night falling in Hithlum is especially grim to me knowing what is to befall Aerin, Morwen and all those left in Dor-lĂłmin, as well as the displacement of many of the Sindar of Mithrim. The devastation of the NĂrnaeth gives way to so much more horror.
Thus ended the NĂrnaeth Arnoediad as the sun went down beyond the sea.
Anyways I hope you all have a better day than this poor cast of characters.
something i find really interesting about (some) people who don't write is the way they'll elevate plot over execution? it's the way you'll sometimes see people who think they have a best-selling book idea, and they want someone to write it for them while thinking they should get the lion's share of the imaginary profits, because it's their idea. and don't get me wrong, ideas are important! plots are important!
but there are so many stories i've read over the years that could be summarized into a few sentences of bland-sounding plot, and it's the execution that matters. it's the writing. it's the writing!
a talented writer can turn a bland plot into a story you want to devour. and someone who only cares about ideas can take the most interesting idea ever conceived and make it unreadable/unwatchable.
like it does feel like there are a Lot of people in this world who don't view writing as a skill that deserves respect, and who think that really it's all about coming up with shiny ideas. and it does feel like that's uhhh infected a LOT of different things in the modern world. tbh.
if i dont respond to a message from you i can basically guarantee its not because i dislike you. im just getting attacked by imps and shit all the time genuinely.
One of the best things about being a writer is thinking of something small you can add to your work thatâs just. Devastating. Like youâre sitting there going. Oh. That would be diabolical. People would get really riled up about that. Exquisite. Letâs do it.
