These last 4 days have been very hard for all those who are part of the kpop world, even more so for the Shawols. When the news came out on Monday morning, it seemed to me that the time stopped for a few seconds, my brain had stopped working, trying to make sense of what I had read. I have been listening to kpop now for 7 years and in these years I have been able to appreciate SHINee, I have never followed them in depth but I respected them. And when I read about Jonghyun's suicide, something inside me cracked. Because I have become aware (and it will seem stupid as a thing) that idols, though they may seem like "divine" figures, almost immortal, are ultimately equal to us fans, human beings. I would never have imagined that a person like Jong, whom I have always seen with a smile, could have died because of a great evil that had been carried in for so long. Yesterday I put my heart in peace and I accepted that it was gone. But I like to think that now it’s in a place where he feel really happy, in peace, no longer with that "black dog" that has accompanied him throughout his life. If you have a vacuum inside that is slowly engulfing you, talking to others is the best solution. I know that it seems so easy and I know perfectly well that not always tell others how we feel can be a good idea, but if you already find a person willing to listen to you, throw out what you have inside. Keeping everything inside and letting this evil grow bigger and bigger will lead to a collapse. If you are looking for someone to trust you, know that I am here!
And now I can say this:
You did well Jonghyun.
Goodbye.
