as much as i want to post about my start with the fandom until now, i just can’t do it. i just feel so embarrassed about the way i have been treated and what people have done to me and how much it has effected me. im so happy to see people talking about the elephant in the room because frankly, i have been aware of it since i have started. all because ofc i had to enjoy the same npc as someone else. therefore i was admitted behind the curtains quite quickly.  there is so much more to this than just that, and like i said, im not ready to open up about it because im not here to cause drama or gain “”” fandom clout”””  im literally here because of the amazing and crazy talented people i have met. to those who have been with me and have stuck around, i love you immensely and thank you for being you and not being afraid of being yourself. YOU are the ones who have kept me here. YOU are the ones who have held me back from running away and wiping everything i have ever done. YOU are the ones that matter to me. to the others… the fuck heads who think that fandom popularity is the road to the holy land, you’ve seriously got another thing coming. and really, thats all i have to say about that.

It’s time I said what I believe has needed to be said for many, many, months. After what I assume most of you have seen today already, if not I will link it in the comments; I believe it’s an appropriate time to speak out and stand up. This has been brewing in my mind for a long time but since others are sharing their experiences I will also share mine in greater detail. I believe, from my perspective on things, that I am generally well liked in this fandom and that’s great, I like having friends. However, that doesn’t come without its own sacrifices.

I’ve been active in this fandom for almost 15 months, and the toxicity is beyond what I’ve seen in other fandoms, as this fandom takes gatekeeping, validation seeking, and just general toxicity to another level. Everything that follows are my own thoughts, and haven’t been influenced or swayed by other people.
