“You should be attending to your duties,” she scolded, an almost instinctual reaction from the warden. It was still so soon after Sira’s death, and the woman’s words echoed in her mind, her guilt only growing with every passing day. But she couldn’t let that show to her wardens. So Maiev didn’t reply to the other’s question. If she even thought to ask that question, the warden had already failed. “There’s wounded that need bandaging still. Lend your aid.”

She rose her chin a little. “ Depends on your effort, ” she said dryly, the book remained opened in her hands as if she wanted to show that she could return to it at all times. Ending the conversation was easy.

“ Things would happen faster if anyone convinced me to open a portal inside the Nighthold - and bringing me to the gates of course. But I do not expect anyone to be capable of that. The current progress already speaks for itself. ”

Needless to mention that Rivah was not impressed of anything that was going on in Shal’Aran or Suramar; nor did she approve of it. Finding a way inside the Nighthold was tempting however. She was banished but getting her hands on any old tomes and Elisande’s researches before those brutes burned everything to cinders was at least a small motivation.

Maiev pursed her lips, thinking a moment before huffing, ready to walk away. She was sure she was very close to being teleported out of the crude hovel the Nightfallen had holed themselves up in anyway, with how she’d been pestering them for information about their progress. The Warden hated being a sitting duck, and ever since Cordana had been slain she’d been wound up, wanting to strike. She had no desire to work with this woman, but maybe..

“There has to be a library in the Nighthold that has something that can speed this along,” Maiev reasoned. She bit her lip, fang digging into flesh and nearly drawing blood. Dropping her pride enough to reason with these wretches was near physically painful for her, even with how dramatic that may be. “We can’t get our armies in there yet, but if we can get someone in there to steal some of those tomes..” She didn’t finish her thought, trusting the Nightborne to be perceptive enough to pick up her meaning.

“With how little time we have before Gul’dan gathers his power, I think it’s worth the risk.”
