The skirt is done other than the hem. It was going to be just one layer but the material is so thin it just didn’t lay right and kept sticking to my legs, so I doubled it like the cape. I think it will be more comfortable and look better this way.
Still to do: finish gloves, make the belt, find a good mask, and put the patch together and on the shirt. And shoes, figure out what I am going to do about shoes. Any suggestions?
Then I get to make Batman XD and various other things.
I just figured out that if I take the boning out of the casing to sew down the first side and then put it in to sew in the second side the whole thing is much straighter and cleaner.
I got a lot done today, the top is finished other than sewing down the yellow strips and the 'R' symbol. I still need to figure out how I want to do that. I'm thinking iron-on but I'm not sure. The cape is also done. Hopefully I will be able to make the skirt tomorrow after I get some elastic.
Sometimes you just have to rip half the thing apart and fix it. Currently seam ripping the crap out of the top, it's just a little too tight.
