[ Summary ]

He's a demigod, he's incapable of getting sick unless it's something divine. I honestly doubt that demigods would have mortals type of sickness ngl

I have this headcanon that Will is DEEPLY afraid of the dark, like literally. He have a phobia of it.
He couldn't close his eyes at night unless his sunlamp or the lights are on.
And no offence to his boyfriend Nico, but he hates whenever he have to join Nico on shadow traveling to get out of a situation.
Of course Nico doesn't force him and assure him that he'll protect him in the dark, he'll be alright. Or do another solution all together. Which eased Will's frantic mind a bit.
Grown Adult Nico who mostly has his life together (and has grown freakishly tall and buff as most big three kids do post puberty but that’s not the point) somehow comes across an old group photo taken at CHB within a couple days after Gea was defeated and he looks at his 14 year old self so small and skinny and frail and yet with a haunted thousand yard stare that says he has killed and will kill again an he starts crying because that’s a baby. That’s a traumatized little baby child that looks so similar to his younger siblings that he adopts fosters and mentors. And he remembers why he did all this. Why he built the whole legacy of the hades cabin and why he raises and trains so many of his father’s kids. He frames the photo and looks at whenever he struggles with his kids. A reminder of why he does this.

Ight so the story for my Max is pretty complex and there’s a lot of backstory. The basic introduction is he is a son of Hades born in the United States with family in both France and Russia. He endures neglect from his mother before her untimely death, and from there is under the care of his older brother.
For most of his life being a demigod wasn’t at the front of his mind due to being caught up in family politics, experiencing the death of multiple friends, and watching himself become someone he never wanted to be.
I left like 90% of the detail out but if you want to know more feel free to ask further!<3
Ah, nah, but they have the same first name letter! My oc name is Mōna, and he's the child of Hypnos (also the descendant of Odin but he doesn't talk much about it). Was born in Scandinavia Norway but grew up in Spain.
He's non-binary (He doesn't mind he/him or they/them)
His backstory is a veryyy long one, and most of it are literally angst. But in short, he starts to live in the orphanage at 7 years old, not exactly the brightest kid after the traumatizing event that cost all of his family to die. Isolating himself away from the world and everyone else with growing resentment, making him an outcast and alone at the orphanage. He runs away at 9 but got caught up in the war between Spain and Italy, so.. uhh, war PTSD for him ig. Chiron found him near the camp border when he was 11 and took him under his care when the centaur realize that little Mōna was a demigod.
Won't go into much details, but like you said, feel free to ask questions about my oc, Mōna:D

Also, I love your oc so much! He's really cool and seems to be well written which is dang vro, love it! It's sad that he was neglected by his mother and his love ones dying in front of his eyes, but at least he have something in common with Mōna.

My question is, will he learn how to heal and move on? I mean, I get it, traumatizing past is something hard to move on from. But man, he needs therapy (and Mōna too)
Oooooh I like the lore! I definitely feel like it could be very interesting with more detail! From light research this seems to take place during the late 15th century to the mid 16th century? Correct me if you’re referring to a different war.
I also got a child of Hypnos oc but he’s for a crack fanfic that I probably won’t finish.
Ummm, I don’t think Max will ever truly move on. He has lasting trauma from his childhood and teenage years, which will shape him no matter who he turns to. Really the best outcome for him is to learn to function like everyone else and not think of others as below him. (+keep his monster powers in check)
Btw, what type of powers does Mōna have and how does it shape how he interacts with his world? I’d love to know!

And MAXXX OMG:((, my guy really need therapy, but then again. Mōna going to therapy is the last thing he wants, unless his boyfriends force him then he doesn't have a choice but to comply (man, he can't argue with them), anyways. I hereby declared to adopt Max, here's the adoption pape— /jk
Also, Mōna have two ability on Hypnos side and 3 more ability on Odin's side ← with one of it being.. well, respawning like a Minecraft character everytime he dies. Except he needs to travel back to camp cause his respawn point is in a Odin temple somewhere at Scandinavia, Norway. Got fed up with it and talk to his great, great, great, and a lot of great uncle if he could put the statue in his cabin so he doesn't have to travel a long distance.
Odin says no, and he's stuck with it.
After Mōna's first death (a few months since Chiron took him in his care, still 11), he first appeared in Valhalla and stayed there till it's the 2000's. He stayed 11 in appearance but not in mental age. That's one of the things he have in common with Nico.
If I'm being honest, he doesn't care what campers think about him or his powers and rare heritage. He shapes himself as what he wants to be; calm, collected, never get bothered and chill. But really, it's more of like a mask than an actual personality. Because his step-father is christian, and a misogynist. He had learn to never show vulnerability, but he rarely listens to him and only listens to his sweet loving gentle mother. The only thing he got from his step-father (which he obviously hates) is the fear of showing he also likes guys (that's probably why he's Demisexual, my guy have trust issues) and showing vulnerability is a sign of weakness.
At least, him showing it feels like it's a sign of him being weak. So he held it in, and if ge DID cry, it's silent. You won't even know he's crying unless you look directly at his face. ← he never seems to get out of that habit ngl

Anyway, I’m getting the sense Mōna hides his emotions a lot. Max does the same thing, except eventually it becomes easier to be stoic than to show them because he’s used to not being treated like his feelings are worth anything.
Also you can’t adopt Max, he’s already eighteen.
So can Mōna ever die or is he immortal? Like will he stop respawning when he gets to a certain age or will he keep getting older for the rest of time?
I also sense that when you say the stepdad is Christian, you mean a Christian that isn’t as holy as he believes. This makes me curious on the denomination, but I also would like to say that I have a large amount of kind/respectful Christian friends, so I just want you to know that Christian doesn’t always mean bad. I’m not trying to start anything or say that all Christians are good, instead just let you know. I apologize if this is too off-track.
In relation to sexuality, Max is a hard person to define, which is why I usually put him as unlabeled. It could be argued that he’s bisexual due to a situationship he had with a friend named Ace, however this contributed to a lot of his trauma and it’s hard to say if Max ever loved Ace back. When Max drank the lines between romantic and platonic became blurred, but even he isn’t sure if he felt pressured to love Ace back during those times. There is no one to pair him with afterwards because without proper time to heal there is a high chance Max would become the toxic one, which is something he desperately wants to avoid.
Mōna does tends to hide his emotions a lot, though, he's starting to open up after Will (forced) told him to go to therapy for the 24,789th time (with the help of their friends and half-brother). It works after a month or two of constant stubborn refusal of opening up, but he gave in when he realize he won't escaped this till he starts talking.
Like Max, Mōna thinks that it's easier to not let emotions show in his face and tone. He learned it the hard way, after all.
“Also you can't adopt Max, he's already 18” — dang it, oh well, it was worth the shot
And to answer your question, Mōna is half-immortal. The only way be could die is at old age, that's why there was a lot of times he sacrefice himself just to save someone. (This is also the reason why he goes solo on quest)
Also, sorry about the Christian thing. I know that not all Christians/Catholics are like that, but some of them are pretty toxic in the 15th century, Mōna was just unfortunate to have a dad like that. His step-dad is very homophobic like the rest of the world, as in the 15th century, gay folks are to be ashamed for and is considered as a crime.
Mōna falls in love with boy, and it got him (the boy) killed when they were found out. So it was no wonder my guy is Demisexual, too unsure to date or love or trust anyone after all the traumatizing years he endured.
The good part is that everyone he knows managed to convince him to go to therapy (it took years for them to convinced him) and it helps!
But his trauma never seems to leave him, keeps on appearing to bite him in the ass. Little bastard. Oh! He's very insecure about himself, thinking he was never enough, and he won't be able to be good enough if he isn't perfect on everything.
Intelligence is something he inherit from his great, great, great, and a lot of great grandfather Odin. It's a blessing that he learns easily, but a curse as he grew up, he never thought of making mistakes in fear of letting everyone down. (He's a high achiever in his school, popular too. For his looks, personality and intelligence. Though, the popularity made him extremely overwhelmed at times that he starts to do things when alone, like doing something till his body ache or if his skin starts to bleed)
Which causes him to be tired 24/7 and sleepy on the day, he can't really sleep at night due to his Narcolepsy.
I hope Max will be able to open up and find someone great one day, someone that could love him till the end of their time. I think everyone deserves a happy ending, man
