You get dragged along by your roommate to a college party… it’s at a guys house that she likes…
“come on, it’s our senior year! We won’t have many of these left before we graduate” your roommate would plead.
“Oh, no” you roll your eyes sarcastically.
But several beers and 3 shots later your roommate is off getting busy and you’re cold and tired… just want to pass out in a warm bed. You find an empty room- and it’s actually clean for an all guys house- you pull a large sweatshirt off a hook and slip in on before kicking off your shoes and wiggling out of your jeans. Climbing into bed and falling fast asleep.
You wake up a few hours later to find the light streaming in through the blinds and someone sitting on the end of the bed. You instinctively pull the blanket up to your chin as you shrink into the hoodie.
“There she is…” comes a warm voice as you blink owlishly up at the prettiest smile you’ve ever seen.
He stands up, going to the small desk in the corner before turning back to the bed, your body shifts under his weight when he sits back down.
“Didn’t know what you’d want so I made you both…” he smiles again, a mug billowing steam in both hands, “coffee or tea?”
“Coffee” your voice is hoarse from a night of too much drinking and not enough sleep. You sit up and accept the outstretched cup.
“What time is it?” You ask, squinting out at the rising sun.
“Steve owes me $5 bucks” his smile is soft as he brings the cup of tea to his lips and takes a sip.
“Who’s Steve?” You ask, “and who are you?”
“It’s almost 6… Steve’s the one hooking up with your friend, I’m Bucky and you’re in my bed” he smirked as he went back to putting his socks and shoes on.
“Buddy?” your eyebrows knit together, lifting the sheet to see that you’re not wearing pants, “did we… uh…”
“Bucky” he corrects, “and no” he laughed, “I came back from the rink to find you passed out in my bed… in my sweatshirt.”
“Oh” you hiccuped with relief as you felt your face heat with embarrassment, “I’m Y/N… and… um… I’m sorry about th…”
“Barnesy” a bare chested blonde in gray sweatpants kicked open the door, almost making you spill your coffee, “you’ll never guess what that chick let me do to her last night… I had her leg up over her head and…” Steve stopped mid sentence when he finally noticed you, “oh, shit! I owe you $5” he said, smirking from you to Bucky.
“Why does everyone keep saying that?” You ask, looking between the teammates.
Steve ignored your question, but shot you a wink before turning his attention to Bucky.
“You ready, man?” He asked as Bucky stood up, grabbing a tshirt from his dresser and tossing it at Steve, the blonde caught the shirt, laughing.
“Yup, I’ll meet you at the car” he said as Steve gave him a look before leaving the room.
“I gotta go” Bucky smiled as you moved to grab your jeans and shoes, “you’re welcome to stay.”
“In a stranger’s bed… no thank you” you scoffed, slipping out from under the covers and moving towards the edge of the bed before setting the coffee mug on his night stand.
“If it makes you feel any better… we snuggled a little last night” he smiled as you narrowed your eyes at him.
“It wasn’t me… I swear. I was sleeping on my side, minding my own business until I woke up to you laying on my chest.”
“Oh… god” you groaned, face palming as the hood fell down over your eyes, “I’m sorry… I…”
“It’s OK, Y/N” Bucky smiled, “look, I really gotta go… hockey practice.”
“You’re on the hockey team?” You chirped, looking up at him. You slept with a hockey player?
Bucky nodded to your hoodie and your eyes scanned down where your college’s name was scrawled across your chest with the word hockey written underneath.
Bucky’s boyish grin made butterflies flutter in you belly as you watched him open his closet door and pick up an oversized duffle bag off the floor before slinging it over his shoulder.
“Look, I gotta game tonight… will you come… be my clover?” He smiled softly down at you.
“Clover?” You asked.
“Well you’ve already brought me good luck… could use some at my game” Bucky smiled, pulling his bottom lip between his teeth.
“How?’ You ask, cocking your head to the side as you stood up, searching for your clothes on the floor.
“I won 5 bucks from Steve” he chuckled, averting his eyes as you found your jeans and put them on before slipping on your socks and shoes.
“And how did I help with that?’ You asked, smirking at him.
“Well when I found you curled up in my sweatshirt in my bed I bet Steve $5 you’d be pretty” he laughed.
You felt your chest bloom as he shifted the duffle bag to his other shoulder just as Steve came walking into the room again.
‘Barnesy… we going?” He asked, standing in the doorframe as he smirked at you.
“Wait… you thought I wasn’t gonna be pretty?” you scowled at Steve as his eyes went wide for a second before turning with a cringe and leaving Bucky’s room.
“I’m sorry… I really gotta go, pretty girl” Bucky said, taking a step towards the door.
“Oh, right” you smiled, grabbing the hem of his sweatshirt to pull up over your body.
“No….” Bucky said, pressing his hand to your wrist, “keep it… wear it to the game” he smiled, be my clover….”
💖 hey folks, honey here. idk who all is aware of my recent struggles, but financially i’ve been just skating by. i’m indigent and disabled (i don’t receive benefits yet but i am working on my case). i live w my aunt who is also disabled. we always do our best to keep expenses low; we are on snap, live in reduced rent rate apt, spend smart. i’m also in the indigent care program that is supposed to serve as my medical help. as anyone who has dealings w indigent care programs will tell u- they make it almost impossible to receive any significant care. bc of this i had to see a dr at an urgent care clinic. i ended up having an infection and swollen lymph nodes. which set me back $375 for the visit, tests, bloodwork and then another $48 at the pharmacy later that day. that visit took all i had left in my bank. and even then i didn’t have enough and had to ask my aunt and my bf for help w some of the cost. this has left us w not enough to cover the next month’s bills/rent.
if anyone would feel okay helping me with any amount of money they feel alright giving, i would be extremely appreciative and grateful.😭💕 the money i receive will go towards as many necessary expenses as it is able to reach such as: rent, power bill, medical expenses, internet/phone, lolli’s food. if u have any questions/concerns please lmk and i will be happy to explain my situation better if need be🥰 and please feel free to share this post!
hey guys please can you keep reblogging this for me? i’m trying to see a new dr and the first time visit is very high, $260. but future appts would cost less than my current dr and could be done over the phone which would be much easier since my illness makes it difficult for me to plan things.
