The pod is Nasir's pride and joy. Part machine, part living thing, it looks like an insect or a venomous plant that is camouflaged as a hospital bed. Three days a week, he wheels it to the hospital to observe how well pods like it may function in operating theaters, NICUs, or morgues. His research team aims to replace gurneys and incubators with responsive, fully equipped pods just like his. But, when he and Agron are alone, the pod is how they fuck.

"Watch it." Snapping his hand forward, Gannicus grips Castus' shoulder hard, shoving him back against the wall. "I'm trying to help you man, I'm really am. You want me to be the one sent to you. Trust me." "Nah, I don't think so." Castus shoves at Gannicus again and puts some space between them. It's drawn attention, a few people on the treadmills turning to watch. Duro has crept closer too, posture loose but his mouth is drawn tight into a frown. "Think it's about time Agron and I have a conversation." Castus goes to walk off, saunter towards the locker rooms, but Gannicus lashes out - grips his fingers so tightly around Castus' wrist there is no doubt that it will bruise. "No." Teeth gnashing, Gannicus leans in until he can snarl the words into Castus' face. "You really don't want that." "Get the fuck off me. You don't know what I want-" Castus goes to yanks way but Gannicus is stronger, faster. He holds on, and leans in until their noses almost brush, needs Castus to hear him and believe him. "I was sent to talk to you." Speaking slowly, Gannicus continues. "Agron won't be."
