My masterpost of my dating sim game is here! For most of August, I took the time to design the characters, backgrounds, UI interface, layout and logos/design for this small portfolio project, HEART & BATTLE! Explore a rich world of combat, allies, romance, and questionable forest witchcraft!

The support over Twitter and from my friends meant a lot, and it was fun to get it all dished out in little teaser animations! Sadly, this is not a real, published visual novel game, as much as I would like to bring it to life for the LGBT+ community, especially for my fellow wlw who don’t always have much media to call their own. Especially for my fellow wlw who also happen to love orcs as much as I do.

Imagine the first de Rolo baby running to Vex and Percy’s bedroom during a stormy night, shaking and with eyes filled with tears because he is terrified of thunder and heavy rain. After settling the little quarter elf between her and her husband, Vex kisses his forehead and tells him that those sounds are just auntie Keyleth talking to him from thousands of miles away. It’s been years since she left Zephrah for a while to visit them in Whitestone, but the boy still kinda remembers her face, her stories, the way she was so warm and nice. Percy tells him that she’s The Voice of the Tempest and that he should respect, but not fear her.

We really need to normalise exercising and eating well for reasons other than losing weight or building huge amounts of muscle. I’ve started going to the gym recently to relieve stress and help me sleep but despite the fact that I fit into shirts and skirts in size small, I’ve been asked if I’m trying to lose weight numerous times. 

Here’s a list of non-aesthetic reasons to exercise:

relieves stress

keeps you healthy

improves sleep

can have a positive effect on mental health

makes you stronger and fitter

something to focus on other than work/school/uni

IT’S RECOMMENDED AS PART OF A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

- it’s a great way to be active with friends since adults don’t really get to play like we used to as kids

- you can zone out (depending on what you’re doing) and give yourself a great mental break

- your body literally just feels happy afterwards

- it builds endurance so you can do simple tasks and not feel exhausted (such as walking up a few flights of stairs)
