So. I didn't know if I'd ever make this kind of post again, but yeah. It's real. A new chapter of SoA dropped for the first time in 4 years. It's called "Tre Cadaveri" and it finally resolves that brutal cliffhanger I left you all on.. haha sorry...

Ehi I only want to say that I re-read your "story of assassins" and I think that's the best La Squadra fanfiction (or one of the best Jojo's fanfiction I have ever read) <3 I really love how are you doing with the characters! Can't wait for next chapters c: Also, I really love your Melone's characterization, I'm really curious about some hints that you gave about him and his past. Keep going!

Thank you so much!! I’m really happy you enjoyed it and I’m honored to be given that title. I’m currently working on the next chapter, though it’s pretty dense so it may still be a bit yet until its released. 

I’m glad you enjoy my Melone - I feel like too often he gets reduced to being just the sex freak by the fandom, so I really wanted to give him some more layers. To me Melone is very smart, he reads people well and he changed his facade to best match and manipulate whoever he’s with. I’d call him the least trustworthy member of La Squadra, quite honestly. 

In my eyes, Melone understands people’s emotions but he’s not sympathetic, he uses that understanding to make people into his tools. He doesn’t truly get close to people, generally. He only pretends to. His desire for companionship is limited to la squadra, mostly Ghiaccio. I think he’s drawn to Ghiaccio of all people because he is so opposite to Melone - Ghia can’t put up fronts for the life of him, he can only truly and loudly profess what he feels and thinks. He may be an angry, annoying gremlin, but he’s truly genuine in his words and actions.

Ghiaccio would never treat Melone like Melone treats other people, he is unable to get into other people’s heads that way. Melone finds security in that and appreciates the authenticity of Ghia’s expression (even if it is exhausting dealing with him.) Ghia doesn’t understand others or himself emotionally - he doesn’t know why he hates Giorno, he just hates him. He didn’t realize Trish was in pain until he saw her crying. I’d say that Melone understands Ghiaccio’s feelings toward others though - not that Ghia would ever ask him for help as he currently is though. 

That got a little long but I hope it gave you some insight onto my Melone! Thank you for reading, I’ll do my best to keep you entertained!

Hello, Yeomanaxel again! Thanks for answering my questions before, and now I’ve got a few more! First things first, Rainy Day Dream Away. It’s an absurdly strong Stand, but I’m confused about it’s mechanics. In order to lock an emotion in place, Kocaqi would need to be able to read the mind of his opponent to know what to lock. Does he need to see someone to read their mind and lock the emotion, because in Feedback that seems to be the case. Or do you have another interpretation?

Thank you for the questions! I love discussing this sort of thing since we often don’t get enough info to 100% understand how a stand works and it gives me a chance to explain my take on it. My reading of Kocaqi and RDDA have him not as a mind reader, but rather a very perceptive person. When he locked Sheila E in doubt, I don’t think he literally looking into her mind, but rather he could tell from her expression and actions. He’s a wise old man who has had plenty of experience, he knows how people tend to operate.As for needing to see someone to induce the effect, that wasn’t stated in PHF so I am taking creative liberty and saying that he doesn’t need to see someone, they just have to be within the radius of his stand. As for how he’ll know what to lock, he is going to be working in conjugation with Angelica’s Night Bird Flying in the upcoming chapter. It should be obvious what their plan is when you see said chapter, so I’ll leave the rest to when that comes out.

Hey I just wanna say that I love the fanfic and can't wait for more! Right now I'm gonna re-read all of the 15 chapters :3 Seriously thank you for making this fanfic and also making it SO good.

I’m a bit busy with a proposal for a research grant right now, but I’m looking forward to writing out more of the next chapter - there are some really fun ideas that I can’t wait to get into. I think the next chapter will be tense, but it will put characters in some very new and jarring situations where they’ll need to grow to succeed.

Hello there, my name is Yeomanaxel. I have two simple questions, and if they’re still story-relevant, I’m fine with you not answering them. Firstly, what happened to B.I.G? And secondly, did Tiziano die shortly after his encounter with Murolo?

No problem! Thank you for your questions!

The best way to put it is that Notorious B.I.G was successfully restrained by Little Feat, White Album, and Metallica’s abilities. It’s currently in the possession of risotto for safe keeping. 

As for Tiziano, his end is ambiguous. It’s possible Murolo killed him, but I doubt it. He likely let Tiziano live, though under the threat of being offed if he messed with Murolo’s work. Seeing as Murolo is technically his superior, Tiziano is unlikely to mess with him or crawl back to the boss after failing his mission. He’s kind of left in a nebulous space, having failed Passione but not being offed due to the coux by la squadra and gio’s group already straining Passione’s resources.
