🌱Here is an ever growing list of sweet syrups I make and use in honey jar spells. They can also be used in food and drinks!
🥥This is for all my closeted/baby witches, and budget brujas, because the ingredients are easy to find, inconspicuous and inexpensive.
🍯All have a simple syrup base. This is made by carefully combining sugar and water. Incorporate the herbs, simmer until it’s to your liking, strain and jar it. All of it is done intuitively.
Spiced Rose Syrup (for love and lust):
•Simple Syrup
•Two cinnamon sticks
•Six cloves
•Two pieces of star anise
•Six rosebuds (THE KIND USED FOR TEA OR DESSERTS ONLY.)
Lavender Love Syrup (For love, especially in LGBTQIA relationships):
•Simple Syrup
•Sweet Orange (some zest and/or juice)
•Rosemary
•Lavender (AGAIN. THE KIND USED IN TEA)
Rosemary with a Kick (Love and bonding):
•Simple Syrup
•Rosemary
•Mint
•Ginger
Red Hot (for lust, physical attraction):
•Simple Syrup
•Cinnamon sticks
•Cloves
•A p i n c h of cayenne
Syrupy Syrup (For sweet, rich, pure love):

Tumblr seems to have this focus on being ‘chosen’ by a certain deity and using that as their reason to worship, and although that’s a valid reason, it’s not a requirement!
You can worship a deity who hasn’t ‘chosen’ you!
You can worship a deity who seems a bit distant from you!
You can choose not to worship a deity who calls out to you.
Your worship is YOUR CHOICE. Worship who you want, and as long as you’re respectful, it’s okay! Don’t let others pressure you into a certain way of worship.
Aht aht. Slow down.
If a deity is part of a closed cultural practice, do not just pick whoever you want.
If a practice requires initiation or the guidance of a priest/ess etc, do not just pick what you want.
If you know very little about a deity, do not. Certain small things done incorrectly can get you on very bad terms with them.
If a deity has a rivalry with another you are actively working with, do NOT.
Don’t pursue a deity if you are not ready to commit, as most deities require certain amounts of commitment and even devotion.
Some deities should NOT be pursued unless you are in very specific situations or places.
Some deities will hesitate to work with you and anyone else that they deem is not knowledgeable or experienced enough.
Respect their space and choices. Can you acknowledge a variety of deities? Sure! But that does not equal worship. This is not something to pick and choose with.
You can go for broke pursuing a distant deity just because they caught your eye, all while neglecting ones that could truly bless you.
Honey Jars aren’t a part of the Wiccan tradition.
Please acknowledge and respect that it is a practice commonly observed in conjure, hoodoo, etc.
