Hello from Berlin :)
So it’s been a while since our last updates.
A lot has happened; meanwhile we have relocated – we’ve moved to a new home and surrounding.
Being a designers and architects, we can’t help ourselves but seeing a lot of things that could need a makeover. ;)
So – as a matter of priority – we’ve started with our home studio.
What do you think about it?
The College of Management | School of Design in Rishon LeZion / Tel Aviv held a workshop and discussion series as part of the spring lecture program 2015, in collaboration with a group of internationally renowned innovators and artists. The graphic concept has been developed based on the subject “Makers Crackers Hackers”, exploring the relations between Art, Nature, Design and Technology. The typography of the logo and publications is based on an electronic circuit as representing this aspect of interconnection. The visual identity includes the design of a series of posters, flyers and invitations for the overall event, the lecture night and all single events, as well as brochures for the Master and Bachelor study program. https://goo.gl/irckNZ
Dror Tam Law Offices focuses on providing professional, personal and transparent legal services. His unique personal approach and his role of guiding the client through the process as a partner, is emphasized by the use of big professional portrait images, and the slogan: “I am here to help you get there.” The word “there” functions as a button that takes the user down to the continuation of it: “With you in court, solving the problem, sealing the deal, on the way to success”. www.drortamlaw.co.il [website design: Verena Tam, realisation: Timi Kovacs, photography: Rony Pearl]
Obela is an international Hummus brand from Pepsico/Strauss.Â
At Studio Yotam Bezalel I was in charge of the new Brand Identity Guidelines for a complete relaunch of the Brand on the Australian and  the Mexican market.Â
The rebranding included packaging design, redesign of the entire visual identity, style guidelines and instructions for corporate and marketing materials.
Visual identity for Dror Tam Law Offices including logo design and two stationery sets with business card, letterhead paper and envelopes in English and in Hebrew.
A beautifully sun-cracked arrow street sign.
For Timi Yoga, we chose for a serene atmosphere for these poster ads – made possible by a subtile use of typography and an amazing photograph of Timi in a not less amazing yoga posture...Â
She also just started a blog full of valuable information, which you can visit here:Â

This photographic decoration of an electricity box in Herzliya park forms a kind of paradox picture together with its surrounding – almost like a Droste-effect.Â
The signage project “Kunsthal Rotterdam” I have designed in 2012 has been published in a big compilation book – “Way of the Sign III” by Artpower International.
“Way of the Sign III” offers a great variety of magnificent architectural examples that demonstrate the essential characteristics of good signage: excellent design, integration within the space and functional communication.
It is available here.
VGZ is a major health insurance company in the Netherlands.
As part of the design team responsible for the development of the new corporate identity in 2012 at Teldesign, I designed this brand book with the title “This is how VGZ feels”. Accordingly, the cover is made from a haptic velvet material.Â
A beautiful unintentional collage of drawn-off posters on a public board in Ein Kerem, near Jerusalem.
Timi Yoga is a yoga studio located in Ramat Gan next to Tel Aviv, and is hosting small, exclusive groups and offering various ways of personal practice.Â
In 2013 I have been asked to create the visual appearance of the studio, including the design of the logo, website and business card.
According to the motto “real Yoga for real people”, the design is modern and clean, providing space for the expressive and personal photography.

The Kunsthal Rotterdam is a famous building by Dutch star architect Rem Koolhaas. It serves as an art exhibition space containing several rooms or halls, each one hosting individual exhibitions.Â
Together with Rob de Bree from Teldesign I developed a signage system based on the existing logo (designed by Teldesign in 1992).Â
The main concept is to mark the different exhibition spaces by attributing to them numbers, letters and colors in order to facilitate the navigation of visitors through the complex building. Keeping these indications to the necessary minimum leaves all possibilities to explore the building in an intuitive way.Â
The three main halls are designated with the numbers 1, 2 and 3, which correspond as well to the main floor levels of the building.Â
The other spaces are marked with the letters A to F, referring to the functional names of those spaces: A – Auditorium, B – Book Shop, C – CafĂ©, D – Design Gallery, E – Etalage (Window Gallery) and F – Fotogalerij (Photo Gallery).Â
In order to visualize the functional difference between exhibition spaces and other general spaces, all the spaces containing art are given colors. The range is held basic in order to be easy to remember and to create a clear distinction between those spaces. In favor of the intuitive navigation the colors are spread from warm (basement) to cool (upper level) through the building.Â
The signs identifying locations are marked on the ground on strategic positions, whereas signs giving directions are marked on the walls vertically.Â
Together with a simplified floor plan, exhibition overview posters form the link between those halls and the actual, sometimes weekly changing exhibitions.
Very graphical stairs in the neighborhood Kerem Ha Teimanim in Tel Aviv.
Learning a new language is challenging. Dealing with two alphabets in the same time even more. How it is two learn to read and write in two different alphabets parallely, I can only try to follow watching my son who just started school... While playing around with these hebrew letters, he’d suddenly call out: “Look, I wrote the letter A!”
Nice texture created by hundreds of unremoved staplers that formerly served hundreds of yet already removed announcements on a wooden pillar in our neighborhood.
