Who plays toontown infinite and wants to play with me?? I need to defeat some cog buildings and I need help!!
I now know firsthand that going to a car dealership isâŚan experience.
I went going exactly what car I wanted and I imagine that if you donât know that much itâll be easier for a dealership to screw you over when you get there by feeding you misinformation about a car, manipulating you into buying a more expensive model, and etc.
I had already done all my research online so I knew what I wanted. Down to the color. (Green is my favorite color!)
So boyfriend and I went (I followed Tumblrâs advice about bringing a man lol). And I test drove the car and loved it just like I knew I would. And THEN the real dealership experience began.
The bottomline is that I knew my credit score and so I knew what kind of interest rate (APR) I should expect. I also knew the manufacturer price of the car (MSRP) and I knew how much they were selling for on average in my area ($3k less than MSRP).
So I knew what I was going to pay and I had already decided on that in my head.
So dealer #1 (a white guyâthis is relevant to mention lol) brings back the first set of numbers. He cushions it with making small talk and flattering me on starting my PhD in August. He also chats up boyfriend.
The numbers were bad. I could tell looking at it. Although they didnât say the APR, I knew that my monthly rate shouldnât be that high based on the number of months Iâd be paying it. Also they only gave me $2k off MSRP.
I noted that the sticker price was too high because I can go to another dealer and get it cheaper and they knocked off another $1k.
And then I asked him what the APR was. He was very evasive and kept telling me to look at the monthly payments because thatâs what âreally matters.â No, what really matters is what Iâm paying for the car overall which is the sticker price + state fees (unavoidable) + interest rate.
Dealer #1 finally told me the APR and it was 3x the rate I knew I was eligible for. I told him thatâs not gonna work. He turned aggressive and said that Iâm a first time buyer and I canât expect better and that Iâm being unrealistic to expect a lower rate and etc etc.
So I said that my bank quoted me a rate half that much and Iâll just go through them and buy later (at a different dealer). Because I want the car but thereâs 2 other places I can go to get it in my area.
Then all of a sudden dealer #1 could get me a better APR. His next offer was 2x what I wanted to pay. I said nah that good enough.
Then they brought out dealer #2, who was a Black guy. He didnât sit down and instantly start talking about the price. He said a bunch of small talk and said some stuff about being Black lol. Tryna be chummy chummy and connect with us on a racial level.
Then he tried to push the same numbers as dealer #1. I said I know Iâm young and I donât have a math background but youâre charging me way too much for this car and Iâm not going to buy it at that price. Period. I said: get the APR down and Iâll buy the car. He kept telling me it wasnât possible and I said okayâŚI wonât buy it.
But then he was like waitâŚlemme run the numbers. And ta da! He came back with the right APR. Also zero down. And payments lower than my target.
This whole process took 5 hours.
Moral of the story:
- know as much as you can before going to a dealership so you can focus on the numbers - know your credit score so you know what your APR should be - get approved through an independent bank for a loan so you have leverage to negotiate with a better rate from the dealer - donât focus on monthly payments. Times that by the amount of months so you know what youâre REALLY paying - threaten to walk because stuff magically happens at dealerships when you do lol

funraising fees are fucked up did you know gofundme takes up to 7.9% of everything people donate you + $0.30 per donation
that means that if 10 people help you raise $1000, youâre losing $82 bucks
if youre a kid in trouble trying to raise money dont make my mistakes and use youcaring which is apparently toally free, and not gofundme
Gofundme just sucks in general. After a woman tried raising money for an abortion, they pulled her campaign and changed their terms of service so that starting a campaign for an abortion is basically against the rules, but anti-choice groups (some of which are known to be violent) are still able to use the site. sourceÂ
But they let Darren Wilson have his campaign after he murdered Mike Brown
Guys spread this!! http://www.youcaring.com/ really is free!Â
^YouCaring is great, in my experience. They can stay free because they ask everyone who donates to a cause whether theyâd like to donate $1 to the website to keep it running.
Itâs also not racist and anti-choice.
I did not know this
GoFundMe have also deleted sex workerâs fundraisers even though they were for medical bills, had nothing to do with sex work, and didnât mention it anywhere. Someone outed her to them, and they deleted it. Boycott GoFundMe. Use YouCaring.
I do not donate to go fund me campaigns, even when I really, really want to.
wheres that one reddit post where a guy pressured his girlfriend into having an open relationship because she was big and he thought he âwasnt satisfied emotionallyâ but still âloved herâ and after that she started getting a lot of partners while he could only get one girl on a date and he went on this bitch rant about how unfair it was because i feel like thats he pinnacle of internet posts and nothing else will ever come close to being as satisfying as that

OMMMMMG
I found this really awesome free app for dealing with mental health issues.
Itâs called Booster Buddy, itâs free, and itâs available for both Android and iOS.
It works by giving you âquestsâ (daily tasks) that you are encouraged to complete each day. They are very small things and it caters to you (it asks you questions at the start about what you struggle with).
Itâs designed to be child friendly and easy to understand. Iâm finding it really helpful. You can also input medication times for a reminder and emergency contact details.
I love this app and I had to share it with you all!
thank you for this.
âPLEASE come wake me up again tomorrowââŚthink of all the lives this app could save
Iâve got this app and seriously it really helps. Not only do you have a calendar to record medication and feelings but you also want to wake up every morning to help the animal. It pretty much made my life better.
@hipsterghouls
SO GUYS. Reblogging from myself because I just downloaded the app and itâs got some really useful features.
In the Settings section, there is a list of Helpful Websites for a variety of different mental health issues. The list is short, but it is a great idea.
The app has you input information (which you can choose not to share) like your local emergency number, local hospital, and an emergency contact person.
There are plenty of activities to keep you going in the right direction.
There is a calendar function and a medication reminder if you need oneâ and if you have an âas neededâ medication, the app can remind you to take them if you check in in âCrisisâ mode.
You can edit or change your information at any time, including your symptoms.
Also, less useful but really cute, you can dress up your animal buddy as you do more activities.
TL;DR This app is adorable and will probably be really, really useful for a lot of people.
BoosterBuddy!
I just downloaded this app this morning and itâs A M A Z I N G. Iâm not overstating. This app combines some of the best elements and methods from all the various apps Iâve tried.
The two features that I havenât seen elsewhere in mental health apps that I especially love are:
- It lets you choose a cute animal friend as a companion to keep you socially motivated. To âwake upâ and play with this friend, you need to complete 3 wellness tasks (that are super simple and easy), once youâve done your daily checkin tasks, the cute animal wakes up to play with you. You can tickle it, talk to it, and even play dress up!! Much more motivating than apps that try to make you feel connected to real people, IMO.
- It includes a âcalendarâ feature (not a big overwhelming calendar like a normal app) that lets you add your own tasks to your daily checklist. So now, along with âchecked in,â âcompleted quests,â and âtake medicationâ I have an extra task thatâs alerting me to the fact that I have an important phone call coming up. It made me describe this as âappointmentâ: âAn appointment means someone is counting on you to be somewhere.â I think that might be the most motivating description of an appointment ever. As an anxious person who tends to cancel and reschedule everything, this app is already making me feel better.
A+++++++++ plz download now guys
i use this lil cute guy for about one month now and i really really really would recommend it, because this app is super cute, super easy and it does actuall help..
