I love my job, but reblogging employment jelly for someone else I love.
joongki I cannot keep defending you
Yes, Be Melodramatic had a lot badass women moments but my favorite one has to be Han joo going "Oppa oppa oppa", "Oppa said you would do this", "OPPAA YOU PROMISED", "oppa oppaaaaaaaa", "oppa opaaaaa oppa if you don't do this han joo will get sad and angry", "OPPA OPAA OPPPPPPPAAAA" to sexist annoying men who didn't cooperate with her when working and told her to just act like how "women should"

Some perspective
Sometimes you have to see discourse and go âwow, so you donât understand the character or the materialâ and then leave. For your own mental state.
Wait, thereâs physical copies of Fallout Equestria? Thatâd have to be massive.
The first run was five hardbacks of progressively increasing girth. The stack is hefty, but the books are comfortable. Each chapter has chapter art too, which I consider a plus in all fantasy books.
Later runs were single-book softcover monstrosities. I think I saw another five-volume hardback run recently, but Iâm not deeply involved in the fandom anymore.
The second print run was two volumes, hardback, with jackets. Dunno about any subsequent runs.
I still think the 5-volume split was the best option. Itâs a big damn story.
(For anyone who hasnât read it: yes, thatâs a functional replica of the main characterâs go-to weapon. No, I didnât customize it like that; I bought it from the person who did.)
anon PLEASE tell me your teacher is the author of this
Ok, I Kind of hate that I know this, but Iâm pretty sure that anonâs teacher did NOT write the books the others are showing off. He wrote the darker, edgier and somehow even longer fanfic OF that fanfic called Project Horizons.
Original Fallout Equestria was written by someone known as Kkat who Iâm 90% sure is a woman and the story only has some PG-13ish scenes at worst (you know, aside from the violence and gore that comes with a Fallout setting.) Project Horizons was written by a guy known as Somber, who I remember him mentioning in the post-chapter notes that he got fired for failing the wrong student once and the fic itself includes multiple explicit sex scenes.
itâs important to me u know what the 3rd printing looks like. please note the gilded pages

this long-kept secret was absolutely not meant for the public. But the power is in our hands, nowâŚ
i feel like too many people have forgotten how to be a generous audience when they read/watch something. like sometimes you have to buy into some bullshit plot points or a deus ex machina or a few loopholes as the price of admission for an otherwise fun time. sometimes these things are just gears that get us to where the story really wants to be, and too many people get caught up in those gears. sometimes you gotta meet a story halfway.
No! I simply cannot ignore the fact that Hamlet could not have realistically made it back in time for his fatherâs funeral feast.
How did two women ever travel, alone, to the Forest of Arden??
In what world does the science of Dr. Frankenstein hold up? They knew about necrotic tissue even then, ffs
Oh, really Jane? Did you ask everyone in the universe to acknowledge that a single man in possession of good fortune must be in want of a wife?
All these stories are therefore valueless, and I will make it my lifeâs work to ensure everyone knows of my hot takes on beloved media becauseâ
Iâll figure out why later. I just know itâs very important to ruin everyoneâs good time with pedantic observations.

not to post even more Villains Discourse on main but it really bugs me how people read giving villains tragic backstories as inherently excusing their actions and/or demonizing trauma survivors.
the actual message of Tragic Villains is (almost) always âpeople who are never taught or given any healthy, constructive outlets for their emotions will often find unhealthy, destructive outlets.â itâs that people who are traumatized and never learn how to cope with that trauma can become a danger to themselves and others. the message isnât âtrauma makes you evil!!!!â or âgenocide is okay if youâve been sad before!!!!â itâs âpeople need compassion and help to recover from trauma instead of becoming increasingly angry and harming themselves and others in the process.â
this site takes an alarmingly behaviorist and punitive approach to everything and itâs literally the most annoying thing. yâall have this concept that âif we just punish people hard enough, if we just scare them enough, if we just make them feel guilty enough.â that people just Do Bad Things Because They Do Bad Things, I Guess, and Because We Didnât Threaten Them And Shame Them Enough. but humans are an innately social species. at our very core, we need compassion and kindness. we need healthy relationships with other humans.
you can keep looking at traumatized villains and being like âhaha this dumb pathetic sadboi thinks murder is okay because his parents diedâ but as a survivor myself, unaddressed/untreated trauma absolutely can make you ragey and destructive. i was lucky enough to have support and eventually get the treatment i needed. but itâs not hard at all for me to imagine how, if that hadnât been the case, that couldâve been me. obviously not on a movie-villain scale like murder or war crimes, but itâs so irritating as someone whose trauma has always manifested as anger to watch people on this site be like âthis is just bad writing!!! real survivors/good survivors donât end up like that the writers just hate survivors and want the audience to condone murder!â
Also as someone who started writing as a healthy coping mechanism for trauma, like maybe itâs a birds of same feather flock together thing, but every fucking writer I know personally also has a lot of issues that writing helps them with and I have not met a single well adjusted writer who had an amazing childhood and wasnât even traumatized as an adult and life is working really well for themâŚmaybe thereâs a reason writers like to explore trauma in weird ways
Understanding a persons backstory and understanding that that is a key role in how they ended up isnât justifying them. Itâs having some empathy for them. Doesnât mean you think they are in the right but you can see how they are the way they are.
Understanding something and approving something are two different things.
