This is completely beginner-friendly and is perfect for your first tapestry crochet project! It utilises only single crochet and doesn't take long at all, so it's an ideal first for someone who may not be overly familiar with crochet yet. For those experienced crocheters, a shortcut is provided to skip straight to the tapestry grid.

Terminology: Pattern is in English and uses US terms

Time: ~3-4 hours, depending on your experience level

Materials:

- ~100g of background colour

- ~50g of text colour

- ~20g of border colour

- 4.5mm hook

- Darning/upholstery needle

- Scissors

I used a 4.5 mm hook and a standard worsted weight cotton yarn, yielding 23x58cm final product (after blocking). Altering hook size, yarn size, or tension will change the size of your final product, as well as the amount of yarn used. Keep this in mind when selecting your yarn.
