#4. Experiment and Revise, Ruthlessly
If you fall into a social media and content marketing routine that works for your company, then by all means keep doing it!
Never think there is only one way to do social media, and don’t wait forever to see results. If something doesn’t work it doesn’t work. Don’t get too attached to things and tweak often.
#8. Be Consistent and Persistent
You really do have to put effort into social media and that includes scheduling content, and sharing links that are not your own and coming up with content relevant to your audience.
If you think of a Tweet off hand, just write it down. You can take five minutes and brainstorm an idea or thought for a tweet, save a link for Facebook, and gather pics for Instagram or Pinterest.
Social media does not work overnight 99.9% (figuratively) of the time. Social media is an ongoing process.

Know your social media audience and the networks they use. Add your company profile to as many social media sites that you’re aware of to help with branding and claiming valuable social media real estate.

Right now I have a personal formula that I do automatically. Yes I planned it that way, a long time ago. In the last few weeks (because my blog is new) live streaming WAS hot (It will be again once someone creates an Android friendly app. A third party perhaps?)

Since it’s an acceptable practice to Tweet ten times a day why not schedule one main piece of content three times a day.

Video and Images Sharing
The two mediums work differently for certain social media sites.
Images work well on Twitter (375x750), but not so much on Facebook. Inline video works great on Facebook and get the most shares. If your videos are short, embed your Vimeo or Youtube content into Twitter.
Social Media Content and Hashtags
Facebook is the new 140 characters or less. If you connect your Facebook account to auto post to Twitter, hashtags will muddle your message.
Instead, go back and edit in the hashtags on Facebook. Repost on Twitter through your site or the Facebook link later in the day. Twitter will automatically shorten the URL and you can add the appropriate hashtags.

From too cluttered to 24 hour access to videos, both live stream apps have their pros and cons. Ironically Meerkat’s interaction with Twitter can be counter productive cramming comments into live Tweets.
If Periscope can stay consistent with it’s features for Android they will surely be the go to live streaming app over Meerkat.
