“Black women aren’t bitter. They’re just tired of being expected to settle for less.”
Broken pussy.
The truth about black hair and how society is that it tells us that texture, coils, roughness, or anything different from fine yard-like hair is inferior. The younger generation needs to shut up and listen to the words of sagacity emitting from those who walked a mile in our shoes. If we don’t, don’t get mad when they sting us with harsh comic one-liners such as “I told your bald-headed ass.”
I’m done second guessing myself, I just wanna’ feel good!
I can’t just roll up to the partners and be like “hey guys, i accidentally noticed that y'all paid me less than this white guy”
Omari Hardwick as James “Ghost” St. Patrick in Power (Starz, 2014)
“They say this is a big, rich town; I just come from the poorest part
Bright lights, city life, I gotta make it
This is where it goes down; I just happened to come up hard
Legal or illegal, baby, I gotta make it”
Tulip O’Hare in 2x01 On The Road
“So, Genesis… I can use it on her, right ?” “Hmm, I don’t know. She is being a dick, and her hair is stupid, but I think Genesis should be a last resort kind of thing.”

Wardrobe Envy ➝ Tulip O'Hare
You know one time, I took quite a bit of angel dust, and then I drunk an eight-pack of red Bull, and went to a Bieber concert. Honestly, this is crazier than that.
We didn’t do anything. Why would anybody want to shoot at us? If you haven’t been paying attention, your boyfriend’s gotten bloody superpowerful. So all kind of folks are gonna be coming after that.
“A woman needs to know how to be strong, stand on her own… a'course, boy or a girl, if you’re lucky enough to fall in love you hafta be even stronger… fight like a lion to keep it alive… so that on the day your love is weak enough… or selfish enough… or friggin’ stupid enough to run away, you have the strength to track him down and eat ‘im alive.”
