actually quite liking this idea.. mentioned it in the tags but i think during their adventures cub would take a liking in oseram tech (as they're very explosive and generally craft very strong weapons) and i think he would probably switch to wearing oseram gear as well.. scar i think would wear whatever the hell he wants and whatever gets him into the situations he wants to be in. he likes sneaking around pretending to belong just to trick people (and maybe he does seek that feeling of belonging he can no longer get from his own tribe.. though i think later if he and cub venture back into their homelands scar could gain back his respect after the others see he can fight again, even if going against tradition will forever taint their reputation in some eyes)
grian is very much giving higher class carja to me.. he's arrogant and kind of thinks he's a little better than others but he's also a troublemaker and i think the other higher class carja look down on him so he's not like. Too In His Head. it's mostly just like overconfidence and stuff like that.. he's not a great fighter but i think he would be decent with a bow he just doesn't have actual fighting experience. probably did archery more as a hobby than a way of life. i think he should get into trouble but look here's a nice carja stranger to help him! until it turns out scar is indeed not carja, he's just in the outfit and being very helpful. i think grian would be horrified to find out that out of all the options scar happens to be tenakth (as carja stereotypically view them as cannibalistic bloodthirsty brutes). maybe they're with cub here and grian is about to have a second heart attack when he discovers cub is also not what he looks like LOL
i still really like quen mumbo even though it would make literally no sense as the quen don't really venture out of their lands and don't interact with other tribes and i think mumbo would definitely not seek that out on his own.. he could have some angsty backstory of being like the last one left alive of an expedition into the mainland but i also think it would be funny if he has no clue what happened. idk he got knocked out and picked up by a sunwing or stormbird (big bird machines) and they just dropped him somewhere and he woke up like wtf
