This is unrelated to my blog in so many ways but I feel the need to speak my mind.

Today is June 9th. Now, many of you that follow me might not know what that means or not know why it's special, but it is. A video game, my 3rd space, my second home, is receiving its final update today.

Destiny 2 was a game I started playing in August of 2020 after my oldest brother gave me his old PS4. I downloaded it, thinking nothing of it but when I started playing I was absolutely captivated. This was a universe so unique, so interesting, and it pulled me down a rabbit hole I knew I was never gonna get out of.

That game and it's community brought me something that no other game I ever played did - a family. My dearest friends, whom I consider brothers and sisters, I met through that game. Without it I would not be who I am and where I am today. It pushed me to draw more, it pushed me to keep going, and was there for me during some of my roughest times. I may not have always liked the game, but I did always love it. It breaks my heart to see it finally end, and end like this. It didn't deserve this ending. It didn't deserve it getting this treatment without a conclusive story.

I hope the Destiny community is listened to. I hope WE are listened to. Because Destiny and it's universe does not deserve this fate.

But, as it seems, things are looking unlikely. So for now, all we can do is hope. And I will keep on hoping. I will keep on playing even if the game slows right down to a crawl. It will forever be one of my favorites.

Insecticon Bombshell!

As a resident of the Rust desert, he is the only insecticon known to speak regular cybertronian! He is quite smaller than the normal bots, standing around 10 feet tall. I actually imagine much of the insecticons like Jawas from Star Wars, living on scrap metal and eating the energon of smaller creatures where they can. They are quite light and agile, being able to avoid much of what the Rust desert houses for predators.

He is a very nifty and crafty bot, being able to build a lot from scraps.

I don't have a particular voice claim for him, but the closest I can get to what I imagine him sounding like is Golem from Lord of the Rings, but it's not quite what I want. I want it to be more bug like :(

Hello! It’s the rescue bots person again. Thank you for responding! I appreciate it. Even if your not the artist, first of all I still love yours and having two great artist to follow is better than just one ahahahahaahhahaha, and two, at least it kicked my ass into gear to fianlly try and find the artist for the Rescue crew. (The rescue bots are some of my favorite characters in the entire franchise, in case you wondered shy I care sm lmao) anyway, I have a minor update.

Unfortunately, my search for the original RB artist did not end well :/

I can’t find them. The best I could find, surprisingly enough, is a Facebook post from last year crediting ‘Vincent Grosse’ for ‘putting together the profile’ but even they didn’t know who the artist for the root mode bots were. (Image down below)

I managed to learn that the artist drew the characters in a “Dreamwave comic” style, but I’m Ngl, the comics is not my favorite part of this fandom so I don’t know if I trust Facebook on this one..

Also there’s like. 40 repost on Pinterest. Most of this is on Pinterest. Grr! I’ll try again when I’m not about to pass out from exhaustion but the search doesn’t look so hot .

Sense you expressed interest in the art… well, I don’t want to make the problem worse?? But uh. I found a YouTube short that features all the art so… It’s the best I can do without just sending 10 pictures into your inbox (my favorites are Blades, Chase, High Tide and Blurr)

Yeahhh i tried to do some looking as well but only found what you did. I SWEAR i remember seeing those before the Dreamwave stuff came out but I might be wrong.

Pinterest is probably THE worst place for stolen art. It gets so lost and nobody credits and it's one of my biggest issues with the site. I really wish people would be better about crediting than saying "yoink" and posting is there with nothing. It's so frustrating

And honestly me too about the whole paying for them to be more popular. While its not my top favourite piece of media, it is really close to being up there. It is a well written show with well written characters and, imo, the best written HUMAN characters. I love how everyone actually feels like a family in that show and bgdjgfdhfhjb I love it so much

My favourite is Heatwave, Hightide is close in second hrhrhrr

Big buff lady hrhrhrrr...I love her so much its not even funny

most of her inspiration came from Sarah stone's version of her because OUGH she's so pretty in her style.

So Chromia is basically a tool for the Inquisition of Cybertron to use. and I use the word tool because she is what they use to get the nasty jobs they don't want people knowing about done. She's an executioner, a saboteur, and anything else they want her to be. She kills people the inquisition deems heretics, she brings them to the gladiatorial rings if they ask, or whatever else. In the public's eyes, she is simply an agent. If anyone has any ideas on what to call this position please tell me lmao

She does not like this at all - she in fact hates what she does. She resents herself and hates everything about killing people cause the inquisition said so. But, she is fiercly loyal to the people she loves

Her voice claim is Tigress from Kung Fu Panda :D

I recently stumbled across your transformers designs and I think they are SPECTACULAR. I love the colors and the small kibble/designs across their frames that make them feel so functional, I could stare at them for hours theyre so pretty

I saved some really nice Rescue Bots redesign fanart on Pinterest a while back. Ive been meaning to reverse search for the artist for a while but I keep forgetting. There's no authors mark ;-;

The artstyle is similar to yours, and whoever the artist for the Rescue Bots is, they have a similar knack for details as you do.

So I bring sad news, they aren't mine. I haven't done too much work with the rescue bots in the past, and if I did it would've been shitass drawings I did on amino when I was like...14. The only one know I did more "recently" was Chase, but I don't believe I posted it anywhere??? And even then that was already some odd amount of years ago too. My style has only really developed into this as of recent, as my art from when I was working on this au a while ago looked a whole lot different (and worse) than it does now lmfao

Although I am curious as to which designs you are talking about! I might be able to provide an answer to who they're by, but I can't guarantee :(

Have you ever thought about doing design based of war for cybertron and fall of cybertron including using the common decepticons and autobots enemies in the game.

I actually have! I used a little bit of wfc inspiration in my Soundwave design, those four weird prong things that are on his chest are where I got those from (I'm not sure what they're called???)

And when I design Warpath I do plan on taking a lot of inspiration from there cause I love his design so much in the games

As for the common soldiers, I might have to think on that. I've got ideas floating around in my head for most of the bots I'd like to design—which is a lot, I've got around 60 on my list lmao. There's probably very easy ways to do it which I'll figure out eventually. Thank you for your idea anon 🙏

My aim is for the bots to look unique to my style, but still recognizable. I love when transformers are big and bulky, but if their sleekness fits them, I do plan on keeping it - I've just been drawing all the bulkier ones first lmao. A lot of my inspirations come from the idw comics because they were what really got me into transformers as a kid. Alex Milne and Sarah Stone remain to be my biggest inspirations for both art style and bot designs :D

The Decepticon scientist, Shockwave!

Before the war, I think he'd be extremely arrogant, as he was chosen by the Inquisition to be the lead torturer scientist for them. He doesn't like the Inquisition one bit but they give him all of what he needs for his experiments and tests, so he doesn't care.

I took inspiration from TFP and Energon for his design, as Energon Shockblast has that green with the purple and I love it.

I really dislike the notion that he has no emotions. So instead, I choose to make him really complicated. How am I gonna do that? I have yet to decide lol

His voice claim is The Hunter from Starfield :D

The autobots scientist that doesn't know what the term "too far" is, Wheeljack!

I took most of his inspiration from Sarah Stone's wheeljack depiction mostly because I adore how she draws him, but I also drew some from elsewhere.

So for his character, I kind of like to imagine him as this guy who spends way too much time digging into the "why not" side of science. Always making crazy stuff because he can. Which isn't new for his character. But I do also want to give him a "major" in Quantum mechanics. Because I love that stuff, and I think he would too. Of course he knows his engineering and coding like he does everywhere else too. All of that combines into his ability to make lethal weaponry :D

He kind of has this "I don't give a shit" attitude towards most things. He's too busy with his nose in his work to care much about the outside world. But he is a decent enough fighter. Certainly not what he prefers but he can and will fight if asked to

I've always had this idea that he's got a New York or Italian accent, so I made his voice claim Vito from Mafia 2. I have no idea where I got that idea from but it's been in my head for ages :)

FINALLY getting around to designing the og boss of the cons. By far my favourite design out of the ones I've done :D

My main inspiration for him came from Greek Spartans and idw megs. I'm still debating on if I want his melee weapon to be a sword or an axe though.

He is characterized a little differently in my au. He's very gentle outside of the pits. He has a lot of complicated feelings on the Cybertronian council (which is actually called the Inquisition of Cybertron. More on that in a future post.)

Here's a little closeup of his face too cus I love him so much. He is my scrimbly scrumbo and he is very important to meeeee

Worldbuilding - Landscapes and Cities of Cybertron (Part 1/??)

So I would like to take this time to flesh out a bunch of what Cybertron looks like in my au, As I have quite a bit lol.

First things first - since this is a planet with life on it, I am making it more than just a metal ball with mechanical life forms on it. It has plant life and lots of it. It has seasons, an atmosphere, magnetic poles, and everything else that comes with a planet with life on it. It is a vast planet with a lot to explore.

I'd like to first mention that water does in fact exist on the surface of Cybertron. It's not just all energon. This leaves room for snow to exist at the poles of its planets, along with seasons. It rains, storms, snows, all the works.

so I dont have an exact map yet BUT I have placed Praxus closer to the poles. It gets a lot of snow during the winter months.

It is a very technologically advanced city. Many of its citizens often pursue science and engineering careers. It is a cold place to live sometimes but it is a good place to be. I'm also keeping it as Prowl and Bluestreak's home. a lot of "grounders" (ground vehicles) reside here.

With Iacon, I imagine it a lot like L.A. funnily enough. It's a very, very large city and basically everyone has an opinion on it. It is the capitol of Cybertron, with the ruling council of Cybertron homing here.

It is the shining, brilliant city with anything and everything you could want. It sits above the equator but remains relatively warm all year round. This city also kind of has its own "underworld" too as the city does span into the ground of Cybertron. I took inspiration from TFP and Star Wars (specifically Coruscant) as to what its streets would look like.

That's all I really have for rough concepts of the cities, but I do have some for what unpopulated areas would look like as well!

So with Vos, I took some creative liberties with it. there isn't much on the city besides that it's rich with energy sources and that Starscream was the face of Vos's ruling body before the war. So with this in mind, I decided to make this the main "hub" for fliers. I've also decided to make it military focused, it sharing this focus with Kaon.

So I imagined that Vos had quite a bit of mountains if it was the main hub for fliers. so I took inspiration from those pillar like mountains in China (Specifically the Zhangjiajie pillars).

its pretty rough but, meh, it gets the job done lmao

So Vos is where the seeker trine comes from. I imagine that Vos's sector/country has mandated military service, of probably just a few years. its very rich in resources. but its mountains are what make it such a beautiful place.

So now we move on to The Rust Desert. It's not the sea of rust anymore, because I know in a lot of canon appearances its just a desolate plain...I didn't exactly like that honestly lol.

This is one of the most dangerous places on Cybertron. It's barren and has very little energon to be found in it. many choose to avoid this place because of how terrible it is to traverse. The sand has rusted flakes of metal combined into it, giving the sand this red look.

Now I never really showed how the surface of Cybertron looks like up close. I took inspiration from TFO and Destiny 2, with the main crust of Cybertron being metal, but organic life seemingly overgrowing it. Plants, trees, and rocks all have this metal weaved throughout their forms, looking overlayed and such. I'll get around to drawing it eventually.

I really want Cybertron to feel large and almost magical - with that "magic" coming from advanced technology. It is a big place, a big planet, with a lot of beautiful landscapes on it. I plan on doing a lot more, showing a lot more, but for now this is what i have that's ready to share. If you read all of this, thank you so much for taking the time out of your day.

Note: I do plan on making more posts like this. I will dig deeper into the cities, I have more to make concepts of and add on to. I also plan on making a post about Cybertronians and every variant as well! Maximals, Predacons, Insectincons and so-on.

Explosives expert, weapons expert, and prepared to fight at any moment. I drew most of his inspiration from idw because he doesnt really...appear anywhere else?? (theres Dotm but he's way different there lol)

I did however make him a tank, because I felt like it fit his character. Big guns for a big bot.

His voice claim is Piccolo from Dragon Ball Z (Specifically the Christopher Sabat version)

okok so, for his character I tried taking little bits n pieces from everywhere

He has this very deep sense of duty and loyalty to whatever he's fighting for. So before the war it would've been the law, during the war it was the Autobots. Before the war he was actually a pretty alright guy. He cared about what he was doing and you could tell. He always gave everything his all. He had a hard time telling people he cared about them but y'know, you could just tell he did. He still had a short fuse, but most of that impatience/anger came from the fact that he cares. He wants you to do better but he wants you to be better faster lmao

The war turned him into a very bitter bot. He still carried that deep sense of duty to the Autobots, but he lost a lot of people he cared about, and it made him very angry and willing to do a lot of things he wouldn't have done before the war. He doesn't like what hes becoming whatsoever either, it torments him a lot. It pushed the people away that he still had if they weren't dead, even though he's doing these awful things to ensure they survive.

Now is he as awful as he is in IDW? no. I dont think he'd be putting explosives in decepticon's heads to keep them in line. But he would be willing to make people suffer if it meant winning. He still cares deeply about the people around him but he's angry they don't see what he's trying to do for them. He's upset that he's the one that has to go to such great lengths for the Autobots and suffer for it.

Overall by the end of the war he really doesn't like what he's become. But war has changed him, and that's what he has to live with.
