zosia saying that she has to make carol join them because she loves her is probably very similar to how carol's mom had to send her to conversion therapy because she loves her and it would make her happy. make her normal. the fact that carol's lesbianism and her trauma with conversion therapy is so integral to her character and choices is so important to me.
