#covetous #stim #blood #hands #eye contact #gore #suggestive #ive been talking about my relationships to these songs in private posts since i started the blog. but id like to do it in the tags this tim #ive been in this fandom since about 2015; i was ten and had struggling with delusions and dissociation for years #ghosts music stuck with me so hard for so long because it was the only place id seen what i was going through reflected outside of my head #it gave me the vocabulary to describe what was happening. a starting point to look into those symptoms further #and assurance that it was happening to other people too. which was nice because i had debilitating delusions of unreality because of it.#what ive always loved about their musical style is that its always raw and unfiltered. like pure emotion in mp3 format #all of that is to say i feel a bit like ive grown up with them in terms of understanding how DID has affected me and why #covetous almost feels like a reward; the climaxtic result of these 11 years of buildup #its very visceral to me on a level so personal im almost embarassed to talk about it #between amnesia and how normalized it was made for me when it was happening it took me a very long time to accept that i was a victim of cp #and it felt like as soon as i had figured out what actually happened in those years #the person id been looking to for help for so long came back and told me that i wasnt alone again #in a way that was extremely unpleasant for me when it first happened. im very sensitive to this topic im surprised i didnt realize sooner.#regardless im glad this song exists. im glad ghost is comfortable discussing this topic musically #im sure a lot of people are having the same experience i did as a kid and im sure seeing it reflected like this is reassuring to them too
