Shinya grimaced. “That might work for you, but for me that’s a little…” He could forget how wild Kana could be over Procellarum. Especially over the devil king, or whatever the hell he was called. He didn’t understand why she was so into a group with a bunch of weirdos. “What’s so great about that two faced looking guy?” He muttered lowly to himself.

“’Two... Faced?” What happened to the conversation about their school’s volleyball team? With a shake of her head and a sigh from Kana, she felt sorry for Shinya. Perhaps another 2 hour rant or maybe a wedgie presentation on Procellarum is required for him to refresh his memory.

“I didn’t hear that very clearly, Shinya.” She clasped her hands together and questioned Shinya with a gleeful tone. “Did you say something about Shun-sama?”

Shinya was practically fuming due to the treatment he had received upon observing the Girl’s Volleyball club. Not only had a certain upperclassman poked fun at him, she had gotten in the way of all of his photos-! He spoke through a mouthful of egg and rice, his brow furrowing. “Kana-chan, how do you deal with those upperclassmen all day-!?” Why his childhood friend wasn’t dead from the club yet, he had no clue, but he was worried for her safety at this point. “You should just quit!”

Kana rested her cheek upon her palm and slid some stir fry noodles into her mouth. “You’re right.” She nodded in agreement, pulled out her phone, and admired the wallpaper of her screen before wrapping an arm around Shinya. “How do I deal with those upperclassmen everyday, you ask?” She unlocked her phone and opened a couple of pictures for her friend to see.

“Look at this, Shinya!” Lo and behold, pictures of Kana draping herself on a Shimotsuki Shun cutout.

Me and Yuun get scolded all the time though.” Nami only chuckled at Kana’s downtrodden expression before patting her back rhythmically. “Guess you could say that. It’s always fun ‘round them though. There’s never a dull moment with the team.” And Kana was now included in that description-albeit unofficially.

The brunette let out a whine after Nami had patted Kana on the back. Compared to the reserved members of the track team back in middle school, the idea of being close-knitted with the volleyball team made Kana shiver with anxiety. Along with the idea of not being able to listen to music during practice made her feel gloomy.

Of course, with his luck something would happen. Always when he was somewhere without a twin who looks out for him, something ends up falling down. Even if it was not his fault, was he haunted by something or what?

His head turned to the one who was now picking up the things. “ Wait, I’m gonna help you… “ And he’ll just kneel down as well and pick the fallen packages up.

“Ah, no, I-” By the time Kana had attempted to turn down the kind stranger’s help, he was already helping her pick up the boxes of instant food. With an inward sigh, she continued picking up the boxes and wiped the dust off her clothes after all the boxes had been returned to the case. A one-way trip to her brother’s apartment in Tokyo in the early morning had become more like a one-way trip to a box-filled welcome.

“I’m really, um,” she laughed awkwardly and scratched her cheek. “Well it seems my brain is under server maintenance right now.” Another awkward chuckle was soon followed by a 90 degree bow with a timid voice. “Thank you for helping me and I’m terribly sorry!”

She continued in a quiet voice. “Every time I go to Tokyo, it feels like the city has to tell me that I’m not in the countryside anymore..”
