When it's all overshadowed...
We've finally reached the end of the year. You know what that means. Everyone across every social platform possible will be sharing all that they achieved this year in the most joyful and sparkling terms possible. You may be feeling left out or shameful because you weren't able to do the same.
This year may have hurt you.
This year may have taken away your strength and stability.
This year may have taken away aspects of your life that you really miss and that you find difficult to live without.
But that's okay.
It's okay if you don't have anything positive to share at the end of this year.
It's okay if you're glad to see the year end.
It's okay if you don't want to celebrate.
It's okay if you don't find anything positive to say about the year.
Some things truly hurt, and it is okay to acknowledge that.
But move on with the knowing that you are strong for not forcing yourself to celebrate or find positivity when that is difficult to do.
It doesn't matter if you have resolutions for the new year or not. If moving on into the new year means just continuing to survive, do just that and be proud of yourself for it.
