Alright you lot, ousting myself once again. For those of you who followed me because of the Legend cosplay, here is the Legend cosplay! Now in fun detail and with sword :3 Of course I had to go find the apple orchard while it was in bloom! Shall I come back for the fall when they're fruiting? I've still got a few more photos to edit so there may be another post down the line. Piccies taken by my lovely spouse and edits by me. This cosplay is currently in a constant state of improvement. Now that the sword and harness are done I am taking the time to properly embroider the gold trim on the red overtunic. I'm always adding more bling of course, and after the embroidery, I intend to work on his shield! So stay tuned, and say hi if you see me at random cons!

I think in the same way there's a 90/10 rule with horror and comedy (horror works best when it's 90% horror and 10% comedy and vice versa) there's a 90/10 rule for some relationships in fiction that's like. Wholesome and fucked up. A good friendship is at its most compelling when it's also 10% a bit fucked up. Happy 40th Anniversary to the Legend of Zelda!! Ive been a fan for as long as I can remember, and while I have a lot of cosplays in the works at the moment the first one I made was Malon!! I threw this together in like 2 days before a party, but I really loved wearing it 💕

Happy birthday to Rulie, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! I had this idea Thursday night and it is now Saturday evening. Yay for thrift stores and shortcuts!!

Bonus:

Things I did to make this come together:

Thrifted green dress, cut it up and added the lacing details

Thrifted brown undershirt, tacked rings to the cuffs to make a sort of pointed bracer

Made the wings, had to buy a heat gun and pliers but had the rest

Put some hot glue leaves on earrings

Hair and makeup!

I already had belts, potions, reddish dress, ears, boots, all that. Unfortunately I didn't have any good freckling makeup nor bangs but I was close! Figured that a femme Rulie might have braids?
