Theo looked at him. “Liam needs a parent; if it makes you feel better; he shot me down for moving in with him before too.” he said as the car stopped once they arrived. He got out of the car and looked around; shaking his head. Of all things, it was not good to be back. Theo stretched slightly and looked at Colin. “This way” he said as he led Colin into the woods; a bunker hidden not too far out as Theo headed inside after taking a small breath. 

“Thanks. I’ll be way less pissed off at Peter any second now.” He said dryly, looking over at the alpha. “it’s fine. I’m annoyed about the whole thing but not in like an actual, lingering way.” He pointed out, shrugging. “As long as he’s happy I know that one day he is going to move in with me.” He pointed out. “I’m confident in us.” He sighed, following Theo, wary of the whole thing. He could feel something, bad and powerful going on around them and it set him on edge. He was nervous but he tried to hide it, ready to do whatever it took to figure out whatever the fuck is going on.

I’ve talked to Jordan about it. I thought you meant was there something else I needed to talk to him about. Honestly I’m really glad he did. I have, no idea about parenting stuff and Liam needs one, I can be his brother no problem but; parent; nope.” 

“Yeah, that was pretty; yeah.” he sighed about the situation with Peter; the whole thing about Scott on top of it didn’t help but Theo looked at him. “As pissed as you are, rightfully so; just talk with Peter and let it go. Liam’s not worried about it and I doubt you really want to be mad at Peter, besides Liam does stay with you and you having a house instead of an apartment is so much better. Apartments suck.” he said with a half smile, looking at Colin. “But Liam is also seventeen and he wouldn’t have moved in anyway as Jordan is now his adopted father and he needs that guidance Colin; we can’t always be there for him and Scott can’t always either.” 

“Thanks for that.” He said flatly, turning to look at Theo, rolling his eyes though there was no hostility behind it. “Are you kidding? Of course I’m talking about that.” He pointed out. 

He frowned, not wanting to hear about how Peter wasn’t at fault for everything that had fallen apart between them. “I don’t want to talk to him. There’s a lot more than just what happened with Liam. And of course I’m pissed off about having to move. I bought a house with multiple bedrooms and now I spend almost all of my time alone. Liam sleeps over once, maybe twice a week, if I’m lucky. And you don’t know if he would have agreed or not.” He sulked, still angry about the whole thing. He had been so excited about the teen moving in but then Liam wanted a step back and he wanted to move in with the deputy and Colin was just angry about the whole thing.

Theo paused at the question. “Of course not, I would have never done it if I knew he was my brother.” he said looking at him. “Never…I found out after; the same time he did.” he sighed softly. looking at Colin. “I regret, more of that night than you could ever imagine.” he said, sighing as he sat back. “I’ve spoken to Jordan before…yeah, why?” he asked, looking at him. “Is there something in particular I should speak to him about?”

Colin nodded, satisfied with the answer. “Alright.”he sighed, wishing that he had the right words to say in that moment. “That makes two of us.” He admitted. “I regret a lot about that evening. I blamed you for all of it for a long time, but the truth is that I’m just as much at fault as you were. I let you manipulate me because I hated Scott for something it turns out he was justified in doing.”  he said, looking back at the road for a moment until he heard Theo ask what the deal was with Jordan. Confusion settled over his face and he glanced at Theo again. 

“Because Jordan adopted Liam?” He pointed out, shocked that Liam’s brother wouldn’t know that. “You didn’t know? He lives with Jordan full time. I was trying to get him to move in with me and then fucking Peter screwed that all to hell and now he lives with Jordan.” He was still bitter about that, that he had moved out of his apartment and into a large house only to end up in a large space by himself, with only Frank as company more nights than not. “That went well.” He sighed, shaking his head. “I don’t know what exactly Jordan does or doesn’t know about Liam and I, but I’m not eager to question him and find out.”

“Yeah, everything’s fine.” he laughed a little, he had a bit of a plan. He knew a spot, a really good one in the woods. He’d discovered it a while back and it was a perfect clearing. He knew it would be a great date night spot and he decided that tonight was the night. Liam finished eating and put his plate in the sink and started to wash it off, stealing glances at Colin. 

He walked over and slid on his sneakers, grinning a bit at Colin. “Soooo, because I know you; any guesses on what I’ve got in mind?” he asked with a half smile, looking over to his boyfriend. 

Colin moved to help clean up after they ate, still wondering what was going on in Liam’s head. “Of course I have guesses but since you aren’t of age yet I’m assuming you aren’t taking me to a strip club to show off your secret pole dancing moves.” He teased, grinning at Liam. “I don’t know, though. I haven’t come up with anything solid.” He confessed. “I’m a little curious to see what that devious mind of yours has going on.” 

He moved to change back into clothes that didn’t have so many holes they were practically considered nudity and slid on shoes. “Am I driving somewhere?” He questioned, waiting to hear Liam’s answer. “If the next words out of your mouth are ‘can I drive’, I would like to make it clear that it will be the car you drive and if you wreck it, I will plot my revenge in slow and torturous ways.” He pointed out.

“I do, I do have to apologize.” he commented with a half smile. “I was acting like an ass.” he said before pausing, shaking his head. “You weren’t wrong, look, things are crazy right now. But, one night off won’t hurt anyone.” he smiled as he walked over and took his hand and lightly pulled him up, leaning in and kissing him softly. He tilted his head, pressing into the kiss; using only a little tongue before breaking it. 

“I….” he paused, looking at Colin; his eyes flashing blue as he took his hand. “Not…not here; look..tonight, is our night. We’ll have another, the three of us soon but, right now; you, and me.” he spoke softly, his eyes fading to their normal blue. “You think, maybe we should finish eating and…you should get dressed up again. Something, nice. I…I have an idea.” he said, a small smile on his face. “Better, than watching movies; and just as private.” he said, looking at him. “Trust me?” 

“It’s okay.” He reassured the teenager. He watched Liam, wondering what was going on in the teen’s mind. He wasn’t sure but he wanted to make him happy. He kissed back, pulling Liam against him, enjoying the affection for a few minutes before he broke the kiss. 

A confused expression came over his face as he heard Liam. “Is everything okay?” He tried to make sure that the teen didn’t need anything fixed or need help. That was more important to him than just a simple date night. “Alright. Of course I trust you.” He told the teen honestly, watching him as he dug into his food. “Dinner and then whatever surprise deal you have planned now?” he confirmed their plans before he started to eat, watching Liam and wondeirng what he had in mind.

Theo paused, sighing a little. “I know, I know. Sorry.” he said after a moment. “I just, I’m responsible for that, thing. No matter what I do, I can’t escape the Dread Doctors.” he said, looking at Colin. “They, made me, they made him.” Theo shook his head. “I’m different than who I was but my past doesn’t let it rest.” 

“Thanks.” he nodded a bit, getting in the passenger seat, turning his head to look at Colin. “Head to the Nemeton, I can find it from there, it wasn’t too far off.” he said, figuring that the landmark was enough of a direction point for Colin to start driving. “So, now that we’re all buddy buddy anything you want to ask me, knowing I won’t lie of course.” 

“I get it. I understand not being able to escape what happened. But you aren’t alone. I’m here and we’ll get through this.” he promised, watching the alpha. “It never will, but we can make it better at least.” 

“Alright.” He nodded, driving off towards the Nemeton, hoping that they could figure something out that could help or at least not make anything worse. Colin thought about Theo’s question, considering. “Did you know Liam was your brother? When you used him?” He questioned, looking over at Theo for a brief second before focusing on the road again. “Have you spoken to Jordan?” He questioned after another few seconds.

“Hey, you did, look nice. You looked, amazing. I’m sorry I teased you about it….” he said, biting his tongue a little before looking at him. Liam felt a bit guilty, he sighed. “You didn’t look like an idiot, you looked really hot, and nice.” he said, taking his hand and sighing a bit as he sat down. He’d find someway to make it up to the older male; plans ran through his head about using some of his money to get them a really fancy restaurant reservation. 

Liam started to eat, looking up at his boyfriend. “Chemistry and History are the only classes I have an A in, how am I not supposed to talk about it?” he asked with a half smile. “Well, one of the teachers is a Nazi Alpha Lion. So, that sucks, uh; Finstock is trying to kill me with suicide laps. My Chemistry teacher is really sexy, but that’s not new.” 

“It’s fine.” He brushed off the apology, picking at his own food. “You don’t have to apologize. I’m okay.” he reassured the other male. He listened as Liam talked about his classes. “I know.” He said, looking down at the plate. “I know. We’ll figure it out.” He promised. He sat back, watching Liam for a second, before speaking again. 

“Was it a mistake? To do this right now? I get that there’s everything going on, but I just thought one night of happiness would be nice. Would be good. But...was I wrong?” He asked, looking up at the teenager. He shook his head a few seconds later. “Forget it. Sorry, I shouldn’t have said anything. I really do want us to have a good night.” He told Liam honestly.

Liam paused, seeing Colin’s demeanor change and his heartbeat. He sighed softly. “Sorry, I was just teasing, I didn’t, I wasn’t serious…you looked, really good. I just, I wasn’t trying to upset you; sorry.” he said as he got onto the couch, curling up with Colin and paused for a moment. “How can I make it up? I didn’t wanna like, make you upset. I’m sorry, let me make it up. Whatever you wanna do, we can do.” he said, giving the druid a small smile. 

“After, we eat. I’m starved and you’ve gotten good at this cooking thing.” he said as he kissed his cheek and got up. 

“It’s fine.” He lied, shrugging off the embarrassment he felt. “I just thought...I wanted to look nice. I worked to make this a good night. It’s whatever though. You’re right. I looked like an idiot and it’s not like we’re going anywhere.” He shrugged again before nodding. “Go sit down, I’ll get the food.” He moved to the kitchen, plating enough for the two of them before setting it down in front of Liam and taking his own seat. “Dig in, I’ve got more if you want it.” He promised, picking at his own meal. 

He ate mostly in silence, watching Liam rather than dragging up any conversations. He could hear Frank scratching at the door to the room he had been locked in and ignored it, knowing the dog was just being a brat because he couldn’t beg food off them. “How are classes other than Chemistry?” He questioned, determined to make conversation.

“You haven’t done anything wrong for him to find in a background check; even if he does one.” he said looking at him. “And shut up.” he smiled. “I’m not going to break your heart. Promise.” he smiled a little, looking up at him as he took Colin’s hand. Liam sealed that promise with a kiss, leaning up and pressing his lips to Colin’s own. Liam put his hand on Colin’s waist and pressed his lips against him before moving back. 

“Sounds good to me.” he grinned a little. “But, you are a little, over dressed.” he teased. “I mean, I’m in a t-shirt, and you’re dressed for meet the parents.” he teased at his boyfriend. “I mean, granted it’s cute but I feel like you need a reservation to eat here now.” he said, sticking his tongue out at Colin. 

“Of course, well good. I’m glad you two are getting along enough to work together.” he smiled a bit. 

“Yeah. Of course not.” he said, shrugging. He wasn’t about to remind Liam about killing his parents. Of course it would be under a second name, but still, he couldn’t help his paranoia. He knew that one day it would catch up to him and his parent’s murder would be something that came back on him. “Well I promise the same. You and I.” He promised, leaning to kiss Liam. He would have said something else, made a romantic statement, but he didn’t want to freak out the teenager. 

Colin stared, unimpressed by the mocking. “Fine, I’ll go change.” There was a little bit of sulking in his tone and his body language as he moved to go change into sweatpants and a dingy shirt. He had wanted to look nice and Liam had just been making fun of it. He wasn’t upset enough to mention it, but as he sat on the couch, he felt like a dope. “Better?” He questioned, though without the enthusiasm he had just had.

“Yeah, I’m hoping it keeps going well.” he told Liam, looking over at the beta. “Are you hungry now or do you want to watch the movie first?”

“Frank will survive but if we let him roam around our alone time might now.” he laughed before shaking his head. “Nope, No homework.” he grinned a bit as he laughed a bit. “He approved and said that as long as I was happy he was happy. But I still think the shotgun and my dad’s a cop stuff is implied.” he smiled. “But I’m a werewolf and he’s a hellhound so, break my heart and I think a gun is the least of your worries.” he teased; knowing Colin would never break his heart. He leaned up and kissed him. 

 “I look forward to seeing this friendship bracelet.” he smiled as he nodded a bit. “I’m glad you two are looking out for each other.” Liam moved over and kissed Colin’s neck and grinned a bit. “So, what, did you have in mind for our date night?” he grinned, holding Colin’s hand. 

“I know, I know.” He said with a smile. “I really would love to avoid the shotgun conversation.” He pointed out. “I also hope that dad doesn’t run any sort of background checks.” He pointed out, a little worried about that but deciding there was nothing to be done at the moment and he would just have to wait until the trouble arose, if it arose. “Good thing I don’t plan on breaking your heart, and if anyone’s heart is going to be broken, I’m certain it will be mine.” He pointed out. He loved Liam and he would never expect more from the teen than he was ready to give, but this relationship, it was where he saw himself long haul. And he never expressed that for fear of freaking out his younger boyfriend. 

“I figured dinner and maybe some movies or just hanging out playing video games. Maybe some bedroom time, if we so choose. Generally just ignoring that the rest of the world exists.” He pointed out. “I want to have a good night for once. Just once.” 

He laughed. “I’ll make sure to send you the picture of our bracelets.” He pointed out. “I think we’re good for each other, Theo and I. Neither will put up with the other’s shit unreasonably and both of us have a vested interest in keeping you and Kat safe.” He pointed out. “Among others, of course.”

“I’d rather your familiar not die.” he said as he walked with Colin. “Garrett Douglas; Colin he’s not just an Alpha. He’s got the powers of an Alpha Wolf and an Alpha Löwenmench. He is not someone that was ever supposed to escape that tube he was in. The doctors had him for a very long time; he’s a monster.” he said coldly. 

Theo looked at Colin and sighed softly. “Just support and if I start to freak out, talk me down. This place is always bad for me. It’s where the Doctors first took me, first operated…” he said, looking at Colin as he nodded a bit. “Can you help?” he asked. 

“I’m not doubting that this is a massive problem.” He pointed out, not wanting a fight already and sensing one brewing with Theo’s less than pleasant tone. “In fact, I’m saying that I’m trusting you that it is that big of a problem.” He pointed out, shrugging. 

“I can do whatever you need. That’s what I’m here for. My job is to support the alpha however they need and if you need moral support to go back to this dungeon shit show, I’m here.” He promised the alpha. “I can do whatever you need.” He repeated, nudging the younger man towards the car. “Let’s get this show on the road.” He said, ready to get what needed to be done done and get the hell out of the lair that he was sure was going to be traumatic for Theo.

Colin looked at Theo "this has really got you spooked." He remarked, shocked. "Its okay man, I'm not going to let some shit get you. And this is partly what I got Frank for." He pointed out. "He's...kind of my familiar. In a way. It's not like in the stories or none of that shit cause I'm not a witch, but..." He trailed off, shrugging. "Don't worry about it. I'm not making sense. We'll skip the meet and greet and just go to the lair and see what's going on."

He wasn't pleased about leaving the dog behind but if Theo was this spooked about it, for once he wouldn't push it. He just made his way to his car, climbing in and waiting for Theo. "You need anything, man?" He questioned, looking over at the chimera.

He didn't like the sound of what was waiting for him and it made him more wary but he sucked it up and got ready. He looked over to his new alpha and waited for further instructions.

Colin looked up as Liam entered, grinning. “Yeah, I wanted to impress you, asshole.” He teased, standing to kiss Liam. “Yeah. I wanted to spend time with you. Watch out, Frank’s running around here and he’s got a lot of energy.” He said with a chuckle. “We ran for three miles and he still was running circles while I was getting ready.” 

He sighed, pulling Liam against him. “Stay the night?” He requested, watching Liam carefully. “I miss you and this whole place has been going to shit and all I want is to take care of you for one night. I’ve got dinner keeping warm in the oven and some movies we can watch and fresh sheets and nowhere to be in the morning.” He offered, hoping that the wolf would take him up on it. 

Liam grinned, leaning in and kissing Colin, holding the kiss for a brief moment, smiling softly as he looked at the older male. “Course, I’ll stay the night.” he said happily as he looked at Colin, leaning in he kissed Colin’s cheek before backing up and grinned a bit. “Movies and nowhere to be….sounds like a dream.” he smiled. Liam tossed his bag to the side and when he saw Frank bolt forward, Liam pulled a jerky piece from his pocket and tossed it into the guest room and once Frank ran in, Liam closed the door.

“I want to spend time with you, Frank is great but mood killer when the dog is jumping onto you.” he laughed as he walked over. “So, how’d it go with Theo?” he asked before looking at Colin. “Oh and I uh, told Jordan….about this, the three of us.”

Colin smiled, holding on to the teen. He knew that Liam had been stretched thin as it was and he wanted to make the teen feel better. "Good. I'm glad." He said honestly, leaning to kiss the teenager.

He watched as Liam locked up Frank, laughing. "He is going to be so heartbroken with you when you let him out eventually." He pointed out but didn't protest the fact that the puppy had been locked up. He knew that Frank was a lot and they did want to have a good time, just the two of them.

"No homework, right?" He said, hoping that Liam didn't have to take time from date night to do something as annoying as homework. He waited for the answer before heading into the kitchen, groaning as Liam explained he had told Jordan about everything. "So should i expect your dad over here with a shotgun and the handcuffs?" He asked, staring at the werewolf. "I really don't want to go to jail," he pointed out. He smirked at Liam as he answered about Theo. "I told you we were best friends. He even promised me a friendship bracelet." He teased. "But...im going to start working for his pack again. Trial basis for now but provided we don't kill each other, it'll be how it stays."

Liam had gotten the text from Colin to head over when he could and he grinned sightly. He changed his shirt; throwing on a black t-shirt with his blue jeans and deodorized himself before heading over to Colin’s place; bringing a backpack with him with a change of clothes and some other stuff. Liam headed up to Colin’s place and went to knock before shrugging and pulling out his key; thinking it might be easier. 

Liam headed in and paused, seeing Colin in a half suit. Liam looked down at himself. “Nice suit, but now I feel under dressed” he laughed a little, looking at Colin as he went over and kissed his cheek. “You texted?” he grinned a bit. 

Colin looked up as Liam entered, grinning. “Yeah, I wanted to impress you, asshole.” He teased, standing to kiss Liam. “Yeah. I wanted to spend time with you. Theo smiled a bit, leaning forward. “You misunderstood. I wasn’t saying you were questioning their right to a second chance, or that you doubted my pack members. I was asking if you were looking for a second chance.” he smirked. “Sort of the appeal of my pack.” he said half joking before leaning back.

“Oh, right the little dog that Liam says he’s trained to pounce on you.” he said with a half laugh. “I’ll meet your dog, don’t worry.” he said before looking at Colin.

“First job; well I could meet your dog first; if that’s as important as you say.” he stated as he looked at him. “But after that I’m going to need you to come with me to the Dread Doctor’s lair. The main one. Liam said he saw something down there and I can’t go without triggering my past.” he said, looking at Colin.

Colin nodded along with Theo’s explanation. “I get it.” He said with a small smile. “I’m sure I have plenty to make up for. This pack could end up doing me well.” He sighed, watching Theo. 

“He’s far from little now.” he chuckled. “But yes, Liam trained the punk to tackle me.” He chuckled, shaking his head. “Alright, well we’ll go to my place and you can meet Frank and then we’ll take him with us. He’s a good indicator of something wrong.” He offered, watching Theo. “We’ll keep an eye on you, man. I promise.” He offered the chimera, worried about him. 

He headed towards his house, assuming Theo was following him. “What are we looking for? What did Liam see in the Lair?” He questioned, looking over at Theo.

“I’m not questioning your right to give people a second chance or their right to one. I’m questioning your doubts of any pack members.” He pointed out. “Consider this my ‘do you have any questions’ portion of the interview.” He said with a shrug. “I don’t want to use your place. I have my own” He stated, though not harshly. “I have a dog. Cane Corso. He’s getting big. Almost a year. And he’ll need to meet you if we’re going to spend time together like this. He doesn’t like strangers, especially strange werewolves. Or Chimeras. You know what I mean.” He said honestly. “Frank’s a good boy, but he has to be sensitive to that sort of stuff, for my safety.” He confessed. “And Liam and Stiles and Kat’s.” 

“What’s the first job?” He questioned, watching Theo carefully, curious what he would dictate.

Stiles had been getting several emails and brochures about colleges and programs since the school year started. Mostly they were just stacked high on his desk and nightstand, the teen too stressed to really look at them. He didn’t know how to navigate this whole mess. He hadn’t slept decent in days and as he tracked his way up to his room, he felt heavy. Flopping on his bed, he stated at the ceiling. He wanted affection, but that seemed so stupid given everything going on. He moved with ease to pull his phone from his pocket and scrolled until he found the contact in his messages.

[To; Mini Han]: Hey handsome. I’m home, and I could use some cuddles. If you want. Plus I want to show you something.

Colin heard his phone go off and considered. He texted the teen back 

[To. S. Stilinski]: Ur plc? B ther asap. 

He got ready, deciding it was warm enough for the motorcycle and driving to the Stilinski household. once there, he parked the bike and carried his helmet up to the front door. He wondered what was going on with Stiles, what he wanted to show him. He didn’t know and he hadn’t told the teen yet that he had left Peter’s pack. Hopefully it went over well. Knocking on the door, Colin waited for Stiles to open it.
