I think immortality blurs that line a little bit, but...yeah, pretty much. She’s still having some crisis, I don’t know what else to call it. I’m sure it is, she’s pretty stressed about it. I probably shouldn’t find it funny, but it kind of is.

Well, Hope’s having some weird, midlife existential crisis thing. But I was talking about the little one. Kellan decided it was he and Reagan...bond, and apparently he wants to use her closet to rebuild the shrine.

Isn’t the Grill the only place in town? Unless we...go to Richmond, I guess.

Sounds fun.

I don't know if I'd say fun but it's been...interesting. It's weird, Josh has matured and then you put him around my cousin Ryan and I get stuck babysitting two teenagers.

One of them is going to end up breaking something.

“I found Beca, or rather, she found me and I saw Damien and Kheiland. And Nick and Avery.”

It’s a good thing we have the perfect home, then.

You really did go and find a house, didn’t you?

“Oh absolutely I try to take my luck whenever I can.”

“Optimism, I like it. Have  you seen anyone else yet?”

If we both want it, I don’t see why we wouldn’t be able to have it. 

Even taking the fact Beca probably wouldn’t approve of anyone but me out of the equation...I’ve wanted it a long time.

“Yeah I guess I can understand that. I got lucky in some regards at least.”

“That's a good thing, though, isn't it?”

I knew that any life I’d have afterwards could never compare to the life I had with you. Sixteen years was hell but it’s over now. I want a place that feels like home and I want a family and I want that with you.

We can still have that, right? In the grand scheme of things, sixteen years...eventually it'll just be a thing that happened. At least, according to my aunts that's how time passes.

Even if I’d wanted to move on I could never have, and I never wanted to. I would have waited an eternity to find you again. Granted it was only sixteen years in the grand scheme of things but it was hard thinking every day that the separation might never end. I knew if I couldn’t have you then I’d never love again because I’d never want to love anyone but you.

Maybe in the grand scheme of things it wasn't long, but it was...almost half of the lifetimes we've lived. I got to a point where I didn't think I was going to ever see you or anyone else again. It turned me into a person I didn't like. But, that curse did break and I still love you with every ounce of my body, so..if you really didn't move on, I still want that life we were meant to have.
