Turns out the Pacific Coast is cold and wet in February.  I kindly requested Kevin drive me to the Pacific Ocean when I was in Oregon.  We got out of the car, I touched the water, and then we said fuck it and went to a brewery.  I had a delicious, smooth, rich stout; I'm not normally a stout girl.

As it turns out, working 50 hour weeks blows, even if you're a barista most of that time. Don't even get me started about 6 AM shifts 4 days a week.  I was ranting and raving about sleeping in until 7 the other day. **shudders**  I must remind myself that this work is for the greater good of saving money so I can quit working in a few months and do some good ole fashion traveling. Its hilarious how predictable people are when it comes to ordering coffee.  I've only been doing this a few weeks and I can already tell by what someone is wearing what sort of stupid fancy nonsense drink they will want. Decaf, double shot, 16 oz,  vanilla, breve, 120 degree latte? This is why we can't have nice things people. The ONLY reason you order that nonsense is to sound important.

Jeff Mangum was AWESOME live.  It was a dream come true.  His voice is powerful, moving and haunting.  He played every song I could have hoped for with the exception of Engine.

Chapel Hill was beautiful.  My friend and I went hiking during the day before the show and the weather could not have been more appropriate. Its always nice to add another state to the "states i've had sex in" list. ;)
