things some YA authors need to know:

it is possible for your main protagonist to fall in love again, you know. Sometimes, first loves aren’t eternal. Things can change. If there’s a tragedy with the main ship, somehow they’re not together anymore, it’s okay to let the protagonist move on instead of trying to bring those two back together. I mean, it, it really is okay to have them move on and be happy with someone else. Just, I don’t think I can ever buy the whole ‘first love is eternal’ trope. I want more YA authors to establish that you can fall in love more than once.
