I don’t have time to draw this out right now but I need the world to know my theory that Silent Salt is going to isolate White Lily
It makes so much sense for Silent Salt to be a parallel to Pure Vanilla. From the fact that they’re opposite colors, to Silent Salt being completely alone making him a sort of recluse?
And Shadow Milks (towerkeeper) riddle about the sun, moon and eclipse he gave Pure Vanilla and White Lily. The moon eclipses the sun, casting darkness across the land… Meanwhile Devsis is shoving the Eclipse down our throats. Not to mention Silent Salts beef with the moon and Way To Many To Count swords and daggers pointed at Shadow Milk…
we can all agree Shadow Milk is the moon, making Silent Salt the sun, yes? And if Pure Vanilla is the sun, White Lily is the moon. I promise I’m going somewhere with this, walk with me.
If Silent Salt is meant to be a parallel to Pure Vanilla, then what would the opposite of Pure Vanilla do to White Lily?
What is the *one thing* Pure Vanilla regrets the most? It’s letting her leave. All the times he left her go in the academy, afterwards, when she left for the banquet, and then again at the spire (might I add Shadow Milks deliberately points out constantly, although being for his own story and motive with Pure Vanilla)
Ergo, Silent Salt wouldn’t let her go. Isolate her. And I believe there is already some foreshadowing to this: that being that she is already completely alone on her journey to him (presumably)
It’s also not insane to point out how the Salt in the artwork Devsis posted today is sort of surrounding White Lily, appearing to keep her trapped in some way. Not only that but the helmets on the wall make me think of the Catacombs in Paris… Where, you know… It’s incredibly easy to get lost and stuck in?
There’s still so much to theorize on and speculate but alas, we’ll have to wait for more teasers and eventually the update! This little theory is the one thing I’m almost absolutely certain on, and it doesn’t have a strong point in the overarching plot… Buuut I do love to guess what is going to happen in their main motives, interactions and story arc (sorry for any typos!!)
