“ Who do I want to be? ”
How long did he ask himself that question? Did this crisis of identity start right after he woke up in this new world? He played so many roles in life already and none of them ended up working in the end… Even when he thought that for once he was making things right. That for once he found a perfect slot for himself to fit in- the universe decided otherwise, tearing them apart.
Set years later… I don’t think Puzzles hopes anymore that WPNZ will just magically appear again by his side.
It would be nice but… let’s be honest with ourselves. It was just a few amazing exciting episodes together and even if the curtain call gave hopes for something more it clearly was just baiting the audience with that lovely promise before pulling the rug and serving a rather poorly written sequel that doesn’t know in what direction it is even supposed to go now…
Or well… That’s probably what Puzzles is thinking. Disheartened as he found himself alone… With the knowledge that nothing worked out in the end…
So who is he supposed to be now?
OH I just LOVE this question! And sincerely hope that the show will somehow answer it, even if it were in a way that would be more complicated than a simple answer Puzzles is probably looking for! After all, life is not made of just roles and movie tropes.
And I sincerely hope that WPNZ will be there for when his Shakespeare will finally find it!
Anyhow, for this piece I decided to redraw that one scene from the first trailer and I added a few drawings that I tried to keep in the minimalistic style similar to that TV drawing.
I imagine that all those papers on the floor are things like that. Musings about previous life plans. Revisiting which ones could work for his future and so on.
Here are also uncrumbled versions. Scanned before I had to trash them for the final result.
