I think the "resentful woman" of ancient asian literature, of the woman scorned and haunting your after their deaths are meant to be a warning. A warning not just to the women who are the subjects of these tales, choose your husband correctly, but also to the men. Be kind. Be caring. Or else you will regret it.
"I would die for you"
Yeh but would you live for me? Would you do all those tiny small insignificant things that constitute being alive? Sure, you'd die for me but would you wash the dishes for me? Water the garden for me? Cook dinner for me? When they said dying is easy and living is hard, that's what they meant. I don't need you to die for me, I need you to hang out the fucking laundry.
Anyone have an suggestions of dramas about terrible and/or scheming women and the men who will burn the world down for them at their request? An example would be Dear X and (to a certain extent) Marry My Husband. They don't need to be evil women but just a woman with plans who manipulates people around them. Mainland Chinese dramas, South Korean Dramas, Japanese dramas or western shows all considered. I'm just craving that feeling of a well planned scheme all coming together plus devotion and obsession.
My favourite pet name in general I've heard is "love" but God all the variations of pet names Spike manages to come up with in BtVS is kinda impressive; impressive that I don't hate most of them. I usually hate pet names but somehow he makes them sound okay (except "pet" because, just as how I am not a infant, I am also not a domesticated animal).
Ever end up on a blog where your like "You clearly have been running in some very different circles than me?" Because of boy howdy I have!
they're partners, they're roommates, they know each other better than anyone, they barely know anything at all, they're in love, they don't really know what that means, she's a runaway, he's a homeowner, they both try to do everything themselves, he's a schemer, she thrives on spontaneity, he's a professional ragebaiter, his biggest competition is a skull, they hold hands all the time, they're just friends, they have the same best friend, she thinks she's fine all on her own, she needs at least two roommates to keep her alive, he loves testing out new accents, she thinks they all sound dumb, they're always the reason the other one's in danger and they're always the reason the other one makes it out.
Buffy is frozen. Dawn is in denial. Xander is angry. Anya is confused. Willow is worried. Tara is understanding. Gilles is the adult in the room.
I'm rewatching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and I'd been dreading getting to "The Body" because of how much it affected me last time and I almost got through it without crying but then Anya's breakdown just made me loose it. Legitimately an amazing piece of art this episode is.

the premise of the devil's hour from Gideon's perspective is what if you were stuck in a timeloop trying to prevent 911 by murdering your way through but every time you got close the same girlboss chainsmoker detective caught you and you had to kill yourself

Rosamund Pike in die another day (2002)
I have officially finished both Life on Mars UK and US and I'm gonna say, the US ending DID suck. Like you can tell the actors and crew really liked this series but literally had zero time to cobble that ending together so I understand it was the best they could do but also, imagine what would happen when your last episode almost completely undermines any and all development the characters you followed for fifteen episodes went through. Very disappointing.
Y'all I met a furry IRL at work today (she works with me). Really talented. She's making her own fur suit plus her art is pretty amazing. Girl can draw horses, enough said.
Buffy needs someone who loves her more than she loves them or else the relationship just won't work. She's someone who always has to put her work above anything personal and if you're going to love her, you have to be okay with that.
