“I am more powerful than I am damaged and I will rise from any abyss you drown me in.”

also just as a lil gentle reminder or just i guess like, a heads up because it’s in my rules-- V is supposed to represent everyone. That is why I do not divulge V’s race, sex, history, religion, ect. bc Alan Moore essentially left V a blank slate for the viewer to identify with. There are hints as to who V might have been, but it’s never confirmed and because of that...
V for Vendetta, esp the novel, the mantle of V gets passed on from V to Evey, who looks and sounds and acts and moves exactly like the original V. Evey, canonically, was a cis woman. The importance of seeing Evey taking over V’s place and being EXACTLY like our original V is to represent that V is the everyday man and that V is all of us. That is what the ending of the movie meant as well when the film adaptation said that V was all of us.
Which is why I fully encourage my followers to make up who they think V is in their own interactions with me. Whatever YOU want to determine, I will roll with. If you want me to use they/them pronouns for V in our threads? I’ll roll with it. She/her? I’ll go with it. You think V is gay? Yes, I’ll do it. Trans? Yep. We’ll go there. You think V is a certain sex? Hell yes, I’m here for it. Nonbinary? Awesome, I’ll do it. Whatever you want, I will do it. You think V a certain race or religion? I will do it. V is supposed to represent everyone. I want you to connect to V, I want you to connect with V as I do. Whatever you make of my V will be between us and us alone and I want each and every person to have their own unique experience with my V.
I hope that’s okay. V is supposed to be everyone and anyone and I will go as far as you lead me.

“...Have you heard of that saying before? Do you know where it is from?”
Asking questions? Always a good conversation starter, no?

There’s a tilt of the masked figure’s head. Curious, yet, the entity remains a distance away from the other. Would it be rude to say something about it? Perhaps. It is fortunate that there are no eyes beneath the guise of Guy Fawkes--there’s no way to tell where the figure is looking, other than straight ahead at the other humanoid.
There’s a bit of an awkward silence, at least, until the figure clad in black speaks up.
“...Salutations.”

This is a starter call post. It’ll be a while before I put anything out, but something for you should show up at some point.
"Napoleon Bonaparte was a hack and used the French Revolution to prop up his own ego and desires for power, and I personally hate him with a passion."
“Yes, well… He was a man who almost had it all, wasn’t he? In 1812 when he sought to seize control of Russia, he made his biggest mistake. And many of us know the tragic end of that man, don’t we? He made a MISTAKE, his ARROGANCE and overconfidence getting the best of him, some historians may wager.”
The ‘terrorist’ merely presses leather gloved hands gently down on the table in front of him.
“The man underestimated the most important element of battle when going to take control of a country–its people. Supplies became low for Napoleon, the terrain was quite difficult, and DISEASE was nipping at their heels and infestations gave no mercy to his army. The Russians were even determined to burn down Moscow simply to keep Napoleon and his weary troops unable to rest, and to keep any hint of leverage away from Bonaparte. When he sought to retreat in due time when it became apparent that there was no choice left, the opposing army merely followed him in the rough winter weather and continued to pluck away at his men until his forces were almost reduced to nothing. In the end, he got what he perhaps deserved–being nothing more than a man like everyone else.”

Anyway, @cupidcrimed and I talked about V and Harley’s dynamic, and it’s moments like these that I lament that V was stuck in the Vertigo side of DC comics because it feels like he’s not even part of the regular DC verse. WHATEVER. Had they ever met, they’d have been quite the duo and no one can tell me otherwise.
