February 20, 2007 outskirts of Los Angeles, 8:15pm Evan double checked that he had a full mag of silver bullets in his handgun before he left his truck, staring up at the two story manor seemingly embedded in the otherwise urban landscape. Some of the windows were boarded up, the place had been abandoned for awhile, though there was a slight illumination that could be seen from one of the windows facing the street. Has to be him, he thought to himself, clicking the safety off before hopping over the waist height wrought iron gate, dead leaves crunching under his feet as he made his way to the front door. It was slightly ajar, quietly nudging it open with his gun, pointed ahead of him as he made his way through and scanned room after room for potential threats. Normally a partner would be a great help in a situation such as this, but he couldnât call upon his fatherâs help for this, and trust wasnât something Evan had a lot of. Not anymore.
The light came from one solitary candle flickering in a back hallway, on a table beside a door of which more light could be seen through the cracks. This was definitely a trap, he could feel it in his bones, but heâd already made it this far. His own feelings superseded his logic, grabbing the handle with one hand with the gun pointed ahead as he made his way in. On the other side were stairs leading down, to a basement it seemed, taking the steps as quietly as he could manage. Though, knowing his target, his presence may have already been detected. He always had an uncanny way of reading a room and everyone in it. Speak of the devil he spotted him crouched on the floor, clutching a bowl in one hand and while seemingly finger painting with the other. The room was illuminated by what looked like a wall of candles, all precariously perched on what looked like an altar. No, it was an altar. The room smelled of herbs, noting a small cauldron in one corner that had smoke wafting from it. Dammit, he thought heâd given that shit up. Evan leveled his gun at the man still calmly drawing markings on the floor, noting that the paint he was using was red, and he had the sickening fear that it wasnât actually paint. âWhat the fuck are you doing, Don?â he called to him, taking slow and cautious steps towards him.

Now it was Jungâs turn to stick out his tongue, laughing as Evan splashed him. âWell, what if that was my plan along? CPR me,â he joked, puckering his lips to emphasis his point.Â
âYou are too kind,â smiled the demi-god. âWho would have thought someone as âbitterâ like you could make me blush,â he cooed.Â
âWell then you should kiss me because I am feeling extra chatty! Blah, blah, blah-â Â
âHow can someone so mature act like such a brat?â he questioned incredulously, chuckling at Jungâs childishness. It seemed someone was really happy about being at the beach, and it was infectious, the surly man grinning despite himself as he got to his feet again. He waded back to Jungâs side and loomed over him, a hand going to his cheek as he gave him another kiss, a slow and searching one that deepened at it went on. He didnât even care if people were around or watching this time, his feelings just bubbled up and he needed the man to know. He couldnât even remember the last time he had been this happy, but Jung managed to tug the smile out of him every time.
âYour sweetness is sapping away my bitterness,â he accused when he pulled away for a breath, bumping noses with him affectionately. âRuining my reputation there, Third. Keep this up and I wonât know who I am anymore.â
why? would you have come back for me?

Jung gave Evan a look when he said he wasnât that uptight. âIf you say so, hon,â he said calmly. Evan was doing better honestly but he had his moments. As they got further into water Jung closed his eyes, taking in a deep inhale. âDid I ever say to you I love the smell of the sea? It is wonderful,â he smelled. âCanât get enough.â
Seeing Evan act so cautious might have bothered other males but that wasnât the case for the demi-god. He waited patiently with a smile âYou are quite cute,â he said after he returned Evanâs kiss. Jung let out a huff at Evanâs comment. âAn angel? More like a third angel, maybe,â he laughed. He wasnât lying but Evan didnât need to know that. He gave the hunter a loop-sided grin. âA killer smile? Why must you describe me in such violent ways?â he teased, splashing Evan in a playful manner.Â
Evan just smiled and laughed as Jung sampled the smell of the sea, splashing him playfully. âYeah, its a great smell but try not to snort it okay? I donât feel like having to do CPR just because youâre so enthusiastic.â With a smile he fell backward into the water, attempting to float around freely for awhile in the water.
âOnly a third? How fitting, since you look like one and I call you Third. And youâre easily the cute one in the relationship, we both know Iâm the bitter and protective one.â He flinched at the water splashed at him, smirking as he tried to splash him back. âI donât mean like an actual killer, you nut. I mean your smile is so glorious itâll slay me with its beauty. Now stop being adorable or Iâm gonna have to kiss you again to keep you quiet.â
themelissapark:
The demi-godâs eyes soften at Evanâs response.âI understand that and I appreciate it that you came with me,â he replied, giving Evanâs hand a squeeze as he went further in the water. âI realized that about you. If at any point I am being too touchy-feely outside for your liking just tell me and Iâll be hands off, alright? Iâm a big boy, I can handle it.âJung realized Evan wouldnât be affectionate in public and he understood that was how he was. He would never be upset if Evan told him no at any point. And besides, he also knew the humans in this universe were more judgmental about relationships that were ânormâ(what a ridiculous notion).Â
Jung wanted so badly to give Evan a full affectionate kiss back but he realized that it would not be beneficial at the time.âMe? Trouble? No such thing!â Jung retorted in dramatic fashion, turning his head to the side.
âHow about this-you pick the next place we go, yes?â
âWell, its not like youâre forbidden from touching me at all. Iâm not that uptight.â Admittedly he did get pretty bad at times but heâs gotten a lot better since he and Jung got together, gently squeezing his hand as he thought back to their rocky beginnings. He continued to brace himself against the waves as he wandered further out into the water, wanting to get away from other beachgoers so he could pretend it was just the two of them for a bit.Â
Once they were far enough away from the beach and other swimmers he fetl a little safer, looking around them before giving the proper kiss he knew the man desired, a bit bashful afterwards. âYouâre the worst kind of trouble. You may look like an angel but thatâs just what makes you more dangerous. Along with that killer smile,â he murmured for only Jung to hear, only letting go of his hand in favor of attempting to swim a bit in the shallow waters. âAnd donât think I donât appreciate your efforts. I do like it here, I just wish we were the only ones around.â

A faux pout came across Jungâs face. âAw, I bought two boards for nothing,â he said. He then laughed. âI only kid with you, Evan. I merely like the styleâŠ.though I was planning on trying surfing in the future.â Jung loved anything water related. When the taller male stepped closer, he reached his hand out to him, smiling widely as they linked. âDo big bodies of water, like this, make you uncomfortable? Out of curiosity, Can you swim? âÂ
âIt is because you like me~â the demi-god sang-sunged, swaying his head in a childish manner. Â
âAlright. Maybe another time then. Preferably with less people around,â he grumbled, tugging Jung closer to him. But it was the beach, and despite his own discomfort about being so public while out together he couldnât resist the allure of the blue water around them, getting a firmer grip on Jungâs hand as he waded further into deeper water. âYeah i can swim. And its not the water Iâm worried about, I just prefer more intimate settings for dates. As you may have gathered Iâm not all that good around people.â
As Jung grew playful he couldnât help but chuckle at his behavior, blushing lightly before leaning in and pecking a light kiss to the shorter manâs lips. âI guess I do. Despite the trouble it brings me,â he retorted, sticking his tongue out at him in an equally childish manner.

âSo are you going to join me or not?â Jung grinned, taking himself out of the water, revealing the short sleeved wetsuit he had on. âCome on~â he coaxed.
âOr do you prefer to stand there and look handsome?â
âIâm gonna join you when you swear weâre not surfing. I see that wetsuit Mister, youâre not settling my nerves,â he huffed. Though he looked damn good in it, despite his misgivings. At the compliment though he had no choice but to move closer, the sand growing more firm under his feet until the waves washed over his toes. Once he was close enough to Jung he linked fingers with him, feeling so awkward while out in the open.Â
âHow did you talk me into doing this again?â
