Lincoln Blvd, 1973 (a contender for âThe Ugliest Street in the Worldâ). This view is taken from about Lincoln and Ozone in Santa Monica, looking South into Venice. The Safeway was at Lincoln and Rose. Note the giant âTire Manâ. The chicken shack in the foreground became a donut shop, and a friend and I worked there for a short while in the middle seventies, just after high school.
